Agree completely. Not saying they can't be or won't be there eventually, it's just funny how they have them there right now when all other polls are much lower.

depends, hopefully we get some of our hitter back. Thats what concerns us all is losing a lot of power in our lineup.
pitching this weeked was not good, but hopefully it was just one bad weekend. We have done pretty good at keeping good hitting teams at bay most the season. That said UT is getting really hot, so who knows.

Kinda surprised that we aren’t ranked in the 20s right now, but it is what it is.
We aren’t great, but we aren’t bad either.
Started 4-7 and have gone 26-8 since then.
8 losses by 1 run
5 losses by 2 or 3 runs
(avg 5.2 rpg allowed in those 13 losses)
That means we are competitive in every game, and it also means our pitching is pretty good despite some games blown in the 9th.. just gotta figure out a way to get the W late in games, and score some more runs.
I wasn’t sure if we would make the tournament to start the year, but I think we should be in at this point, unless we just tank.
Likely a 2 seed somewhere, with a chance at hosting a regional, but would likely have to win out in order for that to happen. Maybe 1 or 2 good losses.
I would think the likely destinations are the #2 seed @ Arkansas, @ LSU, @ Stanford or @ Dallas Baptist.
I could definitely see the committee putting us at #2 and A&M at #3 in the Dallas Baptist regional.. assuming we both make the tournament.
We struggle against good pitching. So if we are able to get out of a regional, maybe we could win a Super with a good matchup.. but 2 and Q is likely the ceiling.
My prediction: We don’t make it out of the regional.
