Baseball: Biggest surprise team in Hoover?

I'm going with Alabama. They won't win the tourney but I've been saying for the past few weeks they've been getting better and better. Watch and see they don't pull a couple of upsets. Calling it right now.

The biggest surprise in Hoover is who isn't there this year. Arkansas relied too heavily on talent now playing in MLB and really cratered this season.
State is my surprise team of the year though, we all thought they would be decent and they turned out to be quite a bit better then that. They are the hottest team in the SEC right now.

Yes but I am strictly talking biggest surprise team in the Sec tourney that nobody saw coming. I'm sticking with Alabama.

I don't like the single elimination part, not how baseball should be played. It sets up for a lot of "surprises"... That are really not.
It should be an 8 team tournament.

- LSU being seeded 5th (mid season thought maybe 10th)

Alabama usually wins the first game in Hoover, then loses. Doubt it'll be different this year.

the way the bracket is set up, i really don't see a lot of potential surprises to be honest. The top 7 teams making it through wouldn't be a surprise to anyone, and with single elimination in the first round, really the only other teams i see possibly making any noise would be, like you said, Alabama and then Kentucky

Im a baseball purist. State has won 11 in a row. We have a national seed wrapped up. We need a 12-0 beatdown by Kentucky to bring us back down to earth before a run in the NCAA Tournament.
