Honestly this is a very good hire for Arkansas. Barry may pry away a recruit or two from the current class, although he will never be a great recruiter. However, he is a very good defensive mind and really got burned by poor hiring on the offensive side of the football and poor in-game management and discipline at times. I suspect that will be a lot better now that he has less he has to oversee, at least on his side of the ball.
In my opinion, this is Arky's best hire of this go-round, with Brad Davis being the absolute worst. Our O-Line got way worse under him with the final year being probably the weakest unit on our team. I will hate being forced to root against Barry though, he is a great dude and it sucks that it went down how it did for him. I hope Arky's D shows lots of improvement under Odom outside of 1 game each year.
