until Reed improves his long ball accuracy, he has no place in this discussion.

He dropped some deep dimes against SCAR.

Not sure what thise small mumbers are. TDs?

You should give the TD to INT ratios.

I think thats where Reed is now far behind.

Tech LB Jacob Ridriguez should win the thing.

As an Aggie, Marcel should not be in the discussion for this thing. Can’t hit the deep ball, accuracy concerns and questionable decision making at times.

But he’s the qb of a 10-0 sec team, he’s a great kid, leader and he’s dynamic with his legs with heisman moments so I get why he’s getting the pub

Sayin should be winning this thing in a landslide as he is the all time leader in completion % by almost 2.5% if he stays where he is now.

I still think Mendoza gets the nod because he is working with much less talent and has equally impressive and in many cases better stats and the signature win against a top 10 Oregon team on the road.

A lot of folks think Sayin isn't the best player on his own team, which muddies the waters.

That's fair and it's a weak Heisman class overall.

I feel like what Sayin is doing has never been done before and there have been a number of great QBs with top level talent who aren't doing what he is doing.

Mac Jones in 2020 after Burrow in 2019. Both had multiple 1st rounders at WR and aren't duplicating Sayin's success %age wise. Now they were scoring 50 a game and putting up video game TD numbers but what Sayin is doing has never been done before and I feel like that should be rewarded but I get the other stories as well

Gunner is totally under the radar, despite having been on par with Stetson Bennett's TD total after 13 games... while playing 3 fewer.

Not sure you understand the Heisman. This is not the Davey O'Brien award. One particular skill or lack thereof is not the touchstone, anymore than a QB's inability to run and make plays like Marcel should disqualify them.

Not saying he should win, only that he is very worthy of consideration because of an elite skillset and character.

The national media fell in love with Beck much more than Stet Bennett. It wasn’t for his ability to win big games, that’s for sure.

When was it not?

Even as an Aggie, I have to believe there were years when beauty was not a major criterion.

Personally think Reed has missed too many deep throws this year to be in the Heisman discussion.

Very good year but not a Heisman finalist year.

Reed definitely has flaws but he also has positives the other guys don't. He's an absolutely electric runner. He is a road warrior king and has played his best ball under pressure. The stones in this last game to make that 16 yard run on 4th and 12 by juking a guy with a clear line to him. Getting his long TD run called back on a bogus holding call and dropping an absolute dime to KC to set up the go ahead TD on a 99 yard drive. Dude just has something.

Sayin is the best NFL prospect and has the golden arm but he is surrounded by studs and has played mostly cupcakes. Mendoza has run up big numbers against cupcakes (6 TD passes against Indiana State for instance where he had no business staying in that game) and his "Heisman moment" was actually a bad pass with an insane play by his WR.

All of these guys have pluses and minuses, no one has truly separated. It's going to come down to how they finish.

It wasn't his natural, good looks, that's for sure.

All the more reason to wait until the CFP season is totally over before awarding the trophy.
