If I had to put money down right now I'd put it on Bama next year. LSU's schedule is too much and all Bama really has to contend with is us and A&M. And by the time they get to us we could easily have 2 losses. In fact, Bama could clinch the West in October next year.

I've said it 100 times, Barrett Jones is the Tide's biggest loss this year. He has been the anchor and brain behind the best OL in the country for 3 years. He is the glue that held that unit together so well and provided invaluable leadership to that team.

With their difficult schedule, I'm not sure about that. Plus, it will be very difficult for them to overcome a home loss, such as say, to LSU. If that happened, they likely would not even win the Western division, and their hopes to make it to the BCS championship without even playing in the SEC championship would be extremely unlikely.

Without a doubt losing him hurts, Kelly will be good, but I don't think he'll be close to Jones. Maybe down the road as a RS Senior, but there's no way to tell right now. A lot of our success will come down to Kelly making the right calls, but with a veteran QB helping him out it should ease the load.
