I think Ty Simpson is gonna be solid.

I think the thing that is telling is no one really even knows who has a leg up or any thing.

Hardly anyone thinks it's Simpson except McElroy. I hear Milroe the most.

The one thing I will say is it doesn't seem either the Bama fanbase or the Bama media (players as analysts, beat writers) really want it to be the guy they brought in that could've gone to other places and started.

Everyone is so focused on QB, but Bama’s WR core has had inconsistency issues two years now, and no one mentions it.

Variety yet unproven. I'd be happy with a game manager who doesn't get us beat at this point.

Buchner didn't transfer to become a depth piece. I think he will be the starter in Week 1.

I’m sure none of the guys on the roster “plan” to be long term developmental guys.

There is a massive sorting process going on right now and multiple QBs will transfer eventually once a starter takes control. It’s the nature of NIL era QB roster management which is a shame given how patience worked out for Mac Jones. That guy sat behind two other NFL starters and had an all-time senior season that sent him into the NFL as a 1st rd QB.

Also keep in mind that Julian Sayin is arriving next year. Guy has a Bryce/Tua pedigree (e11 winner, 5*, top 10 overall recruit, etc) and will likely push for a spot by the end of his freshmen year if the position is still unsettled at that point and cause more movement.

It's nice. They recently expanded some of the meeting rooms and each room has its own bathroom.

It's pretty swanky. Got to take a tour of the facilities once.

Well there is a difference between having a starter and having a difference maker.

I’m confident we will have a starter by then, it remains to be seen as to whether we will have a difference maker by then.

'll believe Bama can't function at a national contender level with even a mediocre QB when I see it.

We have done it before. Phillip Sims and Jake Coker ring a bell?

2 years ago Bryce Young was throwing to Jameson Williams and John Metchie. That was the year that Bryce won the Heisman. Williams was All-America and Metchie was first-team all-SEC.

The underperformance of its WR corps since the Metchie/Jameson injuries and subsequent departures have been a pretty thorough topic of discussion from development to talent to scheme.

Bama scored more points against Arkansas and Texas A&M with Milroe than LSU did with Daniels, so there is that.

And with those amazing and meaningful accomplishments... bama still managed not to win the SECW. I'm happy for your "more points" achievement.
