No....you lost a game this season...for that reason alone i would still say '92 is your best ever....or your '09...

The best college defense ever is still miami 2001 or whatever year they had Ed Reed when they won the title.

I don't think so, the average ranked offense you faced was 95th.

IMO yes. & that was definitely the most dominating defensive performance I've ever seen.

Best I've ever seen. Who cares that they have one loss, I wouldn't consider losing a game where you give up 9 in OT a knock on the defense.

This is the biggest arguement against it being the best. It is also an arguement that can be used against the '92 Bama D as well, as the schedule they played was relatively weak. The dismantling of the Canes in the Sugar Bowl helps the cause of the '92 team the most however.

it wasn't the demise of Earth, it was the demise of the Tide(what a shitty joke)

We own Alabama right now and it will continue. Saban might call Miles weeks after the game, but when he does he'll be asking for his daddy.

Sorry if I don't believe your opinion...

I think this is definitely the best Bama Defense ever. Not a better overall team when compared with '92 or '09 because of the loss, but the loss this year was most certainly not on the defense, and I believe this defense deserves to be called te best Bama D ever.

if you take the bama D from '09 before Hightower got hurt, that would be the best D i've ever seen at Bama

As a Bama fan, I can't say "best of all time" - so many things are relative to the time, but I can live with "best I've ever seen in college football" There were scouts a drooling over the defensive talent on that field (both sides)

For LSU. Very much impressed by Mingo (heard somewhere that he ran a 48 sec 400 in HS. Kids an athlete)

Could well be.. Auburn 88 was also very good, gave up only 92 points for the season.. Lost in the Earthquake game to LSU 7-6... Would have played for a nattie if not for that late TD and Dye's conservative play calling..

I disagree. I don't think that defense was even close to this one.
