So he went to prison the first time, and got probation the second time? That doesn't even make much sense. I'm going to go ahead and say that that is not the set precedent.

The first time he had a controlled substance. The second he had paraphernalia.

The precedent is most certainly there.

Sabear
I love this! I was too young to appreciate Coach Bryant's accomplishments at Alabama.

However, I have had the opportunity to experience Coach Saban's contributions to the fullest extent that a UA alum could possibly enjoy, and for that I am so happy.

Both men were/are once in a lifetime coaches that very few fans would ever have the opportunity to experience truly "elite" coaching on their level. I love that people refer to CNS as "Sabear"..

Not sure bookend weapons violations allow for diversion. This is mostly for dui/cds alone.
Best of luck to them and hope they're scared strait w/o ruining lives.

That could be why they aren't charged with a felony, but there have been conflicting reports. Some said 2 bags of weed and some say residue.

Still, since he was a repeat offender, he seemingly should have done more time.

I can't give you an answer to that but I can tell you there's a huge difference between an actual substance and paraphernalia.

It could be two different charges.

All these L5U fans all of the sudden are experts on plea deals and just praying Cam doesn't get to play this year. We have 5-stars stacked on 5-stars and we smell your desperation.

Why can't these college kids smoke with the vapor pipes now? You can get cannabis oil in cartridges and use the smokeless pipes, there's zero odor. You can't smell a thing, and there's no need in having a bong, rolling papers, clips, pipes, etc.

Just a thought.

That would require critical thinking. You're giving them way too much credit.

I remember a chick back in high school who called resin "residue".

We all thought she was a narc.

Who knows. I know of people that have gotten a possession charge for have the smallest, almost microscopic flake of weed on their floor board.

I've also heard that having a weed pipe can get you two charges, one for paraphernalia, another for the "residue". Luckily, I've never tested that theory.

Oh, and it turns out that chick wasn't a narc, she was just from the Westbank.

Link to how you know he didn't react the same way when he got a chance to talk to these two?

I can't know that, neither can you. I'm going by how he has acted in front of cameras when he knows they are on. This is how he wants to be perceived and the message he is sending.

I know is just not Saban, Miles with Jeremy Hill and JJ didn’t exactly stood the highest ground. Most others aren’t any better.
These coaches get paid to win games for fans that only care about that. They are mercenaries as are the players.

Let’s just not pretend they are bearers of high moral standards.

I'm not. You're the one implying Saban doesn't react the same way the second he learns one of their players fricked up in spectacular fashion off the field.

I'd actually be surprised if he didn't melt the handset when he got the call that CRob had been arrested but unlike a f-up on the field, the camera wasn't there to pan to the sidelines.

I see what you are saying, and I agree to an extent.

However, I am pretty positive that Saban AND Miles really want to shape these kids' lives so they can be as productive, standup citizens as possible.

I look at it like this: Saban and Miles looks at these players like sons, Tiger sons(Miles), and when they mess up like this, they refer to the Bible and the prodigal son story. They don't want to disown these kids, they want to make sure that they actually learn from it, and feel like they weren't tossed to the side for their mistake.

Just my opinion.

I'm not implying it. Just going by what he's done in front of cameras.

Now you are implying he was tougher of cameras. Maybe speculative is a better term. Not saying it is unreasonable to think that way.
