way better than that. Gump legal eagles have already penned opening statements for the trial.

Oh that last one is pretty good. I don't know how well it will hold up in court though. We'll see...
So is this team vote material or a see you later off the team thing?

Well you're whining like a baby back bitch. This is what happens on the sec rant. You'd think you'd know this by now.
Fwiw I still think we need to hear the story behind how he got the gun. Not that it matters in the eyes of the law. Also, were they just sitting there?

We have idiots comparing Jeremy Hill having sex with a HS girl while he was in HS, with these two thugs having drugs and guns in a parking lot across from a school
For people who aren't familiar with Monroe, Forsythe Park is near Neville High School and it's in the Garden District. It's in a more affluent area of Monroe. It's THE LAST place in the city where you want to be parked smoking weed at 3 in the morning. It's also known as the place where homosexuals meet to do what they have to do.
It's just poor decision making.

I hope the NFL makes an example out of Robinson and blackballs him. Right now the narrative is that kids can do really dumb illegal stuff within a year of the draft and basically suffer minimal damage to their draft stock.

How many times have you typed "LSU fans" in this thread? Get a grip bro, there's a lot of us on this website. Stop crying.
You know how this goes.
Some LSU fans will be an arse up in here. Some AL fans will be as well.
Some will be like you and actually try to add some personal experience to add perspective to the charges, like with the gun.
Again, I love razzing Alabama about a lot of things, but this is not one of them.
This is just stupid on the part of these guys and nothing good will come of it.

I completely agree. Forget school rivalry. This kid was a year away from being set for life and made a truly stupid mistake. I spent several years as a part time coach with a local high school and the hardest thing I had to do was to convince them that one stupid mistake could screw up their lives forever. They all thought nothing bad could ever happen to them, personally, no matter how dumb they acted.

You're too retarded to continue dialogue with. Your 15 min break has to be almost over by now.

The offender has to intentionally be possessing the stolen firearm and knows the the firearm was the stolen for this charge to stick?
Yes and no. The current wording is it can be used as a defense, but it's not a slam dunk. Louisiana recommends (but does not require) a notarized bill of sale for private firearm transactions for exactly this reason, to protect both parties. Not having a BOS should not be seen as knowledge the gun was stolen, but in the real world it's probably enough for the DA to twist his arm into taking a deal.

It was non violent because there was an absence of violence. Are we going to start punishing people because we are pretty sure of what they were going to do next?
If this was a pot charge or a bar fight over a chick, who cares. Kids are kids and that shouldn't ruin their lives.
Illegal possession of a stolen gun is a big fricking deal. Like a really big fricking deal.
I don't want these kids lives ruined and don't want them to spend a bunch of time in jail, but unless they are vindicated somehow, Cam should be removed from the football team and asked to leave school. He will get a scholarship at dozens of smaller schools and will still be drafted, but the coach has to send a message that possessing stolen guns is not something you come back to the team from.
