Didn't Nick kick some guy off the team last year for an alleged domestic abuse thing before he ever got to campus?

You can take the kid out of Louisiana but you just can't get the Louisiana out of the kid.

Damn Cam. Dumb arse.

For the same reason you are smoking weed in public and not a private residence. They are stupid.

Having a stolen firearm can be explained by purchasing from someone you thought had legitimate ownership of the weapon they sold you. That may not be the situation here, but let's not act like that's never happened before.

yes but even possessing a legal firearm in the presence of drugs is a pretty serious felony in LA

i don't agree with the law, but it exists

that's exactly what it is, but, it is the law

The way that violence and drugs has overwhelmed "urban" culture is tragic. Here you have two young men with all the daily advantages we all wish we would have had, in the absolutely PERFECT framework for success, and they can't wait to screw it up. Nick and The University (or any University for that matter) gives them every chance to succeed, perfect their craft, and make millions, to the point where it's almost impossible to frick it up. And still they frick it up. It just boggles the mind.

Yea, have to agree. You almost have to institute the Rolando McClain approach, which is to ban them from going back home. It's just clearly difficult to get out of that cycle when you drop yourself back in the middle of it.

This will get swept under the rug by the SEC and Alabama

The problem is the offense was in Louisiana. I can see them putting pressure on an Alabama judge but good luck with an out of state legal system.

The part you're not getting is the law doesn't care about that. It's your responsibility to use common sense and not purchase stolen property. Unless the serial number is filed off, everyone can use this excuse.

This puts Bama in a good light. Cam had to steal the gun.

An OM player would've paid cash.

I'll never understand it with people doing stupid stuff like this or weed. Now I don't smoke myself, and I think this law is ridiculous given the fact of how smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol are like a gazillion times worst for your body/safety, and the safety of others, but it's still a law and the media and public are still completely trash that would treat it like you've murdered people.

Just hold off on the weed until you get the big payday. Hell, just don't do anything stupid like stolen guns or anything gun related that could get you arrested. Public opinion is ruthless and unforgiving.

The question us though how will Saban punish them?
there is a precedent for this.

Like that DB a ways back, Cam will probably be suspended for the 1st half of the opener. Hootie is shitty, so he's prolly gone.

A Bama DB was arrested for possession of weed and stolen handguns? I honestly dont remember this

Well it all depends on what you have to back up your story. Receipts, certificates, etc. He would need some type of something to show a reasonable person would have come to the same conclusion. I doubt he has any of that, but I still doubt he does any jail time.

They also kicked off 4 people in 2013 for that robbery thing. DJ Pettway was able to work his way back after going to JUCO.

- maybe the DB everyone is asking about is Eddie Williams who was kicked off in that incident
