Nope. Kirby was consistent for a good decade. Pruitt, while great for a year or two, didn't prove he could do it over the long haul. Not that he can't, but to suggest based on what the two did at Bama that Pruitt is better is a bit ridiculous.

I don't agree. Pruitt proved more by succeeding at three different spots. Kirby doing at one spot is impressive but not as impressive as what Pruitt did in my opinion.

Pruitt's dumbass definitely wasn't the exception.

Pruitt maybe should have worked his way up the coaching ranks and learn to be that guy and see if he has it in him to run a program. everyone knows he can recruit and coach defense. He was doomed when he accepted the UT job. They are so broken and dysfunctional I'm not sure even Saban could fix it.

OP you're a giant idiot.

It's ironic because you honestly don't have a fricking clue what you're ranting about.

Give Golding the 2016 defense and you'd be riding his dick.

It's all about the Jimmy's and Joe's. We have a decimated defense with nothing but freshmen along the front 7.

Saban isn't demoting Golding in the middle of the season to bring back a fired coach. That would be a bad look and what do you think will happen? This defense will magically gain experience and talent just because Pruitt is back? GTFO

But isn’t Nick Sabam supposed to be a “defensive mastermind” - what exactly does he do these days?

Being his usual jerk self, complaining that fans/students leave the games too early cause of the heat. Lil Satan says stay and fry. Many of fans will be happy when he finally takes his hell show elsewhere.

Pruitt never had an issue with mobile QBs at Bama. That was the bane of Kirby's existence during his time in Tuscaloosa.

To be fair, Pruitt benefited by bama having transitioned their recruiting and having an incredible defense roster when he arrived. I dont think his more aggressive style works better against mobile qbs but some of the good ones still put up points on him.

I think bama fand are a little hard on kirby given his transition period towards the end of his run. Pruitt also had trouble stopping Deshaun even with a loaded roster.

Him and Kirby working TOGETHER and not butting heads would be a deadly combination.

Kirbys DC has to call Kirbys game. Same with his OC. That's why the offense this season looks just like the offense last season even with a new OC.

If articles written last season are to be believed, Pruitt was doing everything he could possibly do behind the scenes to get Richt fired mid-season and have himself appointed as the interim HC.

Richt brought on his firing when he hired Schottenheimer and let him install a last-minute scheme that the players were not suited to run. He sealed the deal when he suddenly put in the 3rd string QB for the Florida game and didn't bother to call any plays that fit his skills.

Geez. Its amazing how good of a DC he was with 4 and 5 stars across the front 7.

He was out schemed by freakin Will Muschamp in '14 when UF had one of the worst rushing offenses in the SEC...gave up 400+ yards and cost us the division title.

Hey, Larry, as a life long Dawg fan I consider myself as part of “all of UGA” and I was thrilled when Jeremy hit the road. I wouldn’t want him back if he came wrapped in red and black bows and paid us. Never ever liked him.
