I get that other fan bases have a hard time with the nuances of history vs current state of the conference. That happens to programs who don’t understand sustained success, which is hard to do. Let try to simplify for you: Current state of SEC football: Georgia on top with Bama a very close 2nd (notice he didn’t say last 2 conference championships). There is no one else anywhere close. Historical state of SEC football: Bama stands alone…GA can enter the conversation as a historical competitor with 3-4 more NCs. No one else is even remotely close. Current state of SEC basketball: Bama is on top, with 2 of the last 3 years not being particularly competitive (check the records). Basketball has more games and upsets, but the conference dominance in the 2 years was pretty impressive. When’s the last time another school won both championships in the same season? Yet Bama’s done it twice in 3 years. Closest competitors are KY, Arky, TN, and maybe AU (though AU success looking a bit flash in the pan…aka LSU football) Historical state of SEC Basketball: Kentucky stands alone…there’s no one entering this conversation in the next 2 decades Try to understand the difference between 1 hit wonders, a respectable multi-year season of excellence, and true greatness. I know that doesn’t make for good Rant trolling, but it at least keeps you from displaying embarrassing levels of ignorance.

Since it’s baseball season, I’d love for someone to fill in the baseball gap on state of the conference. As an Alabama alumnus, I don’t feel qualified to speak on the subject for obvious reasons (doesn’t stop GA from talking basketball for some reason…but we all know why that is).

Now mention the part where yall choked big time with one of the easiest paths to the final four ever.

Also your supposed "star" player had one of the most putrid performances in the history of the tournament. You hate to see it. Choke City.

I know people are struggling with self esteem more these days than ever, but try not to view yourself as a midget. It’s not a good look

I hate to break this to you, but all of our teams were midgets this year. Bama just happened to be a little taller.

What does that make the Pac12, Big 10, ACC (depending on Miami’s game today)?

Tying the single day NCAA win record, and having 3 S16 teams was actually quite a bit taller than you recognize. But hey, some people prefer distorted reality to make themselves feel worse. To each his own, I guess.

Midgets. Right along with the SEC this year. If having 3 SEC teams lose in the Sweet Sixteen makes you feel better about losing to San Diego State then you do you.

Lolololol…can’t argue with stupidity or intellectual dishonesty. Hope you enjoy your life and recover from depression.

Losing to SDSU sucked, but some of us reasonable Bama grads were over it in the exact amount of time it should take to get over a disappointing sporting loss. We don’t let it ruin our day, let alone week, month, year, or life despite what all the trolls try to say. And reality is still reality, win or lose.

Rantards are just great fun after a loss. They hide after a win, which isn’t nearly as funny.

LSU has won 2 of the last 3 real games against Bama.

It’s not stupidity or intellectual dishonesty to say that the SEC wasn’t good this year. It’s actually intellectually dishonest to say they were.

You really should carefully read the posts if you are going to claim someone said something. The only thing that has been claimed was you said the SEC were midgets, and I said that was objectively false. There was no claim made the “SEC was good.”

Coming in as the 3rd (or possibly 2nd) best power 6 conference that tied an NCAAT record on wins in a day clearly doesn’t make you a midget, but whether it makes you “good” is an argument that hasn’t been discussed.

This guy fails to realize that winning the conference or the conference tournament doesn’t mean jack shite to anyone outside of SEC country. Especially if you’re a serial choker in the NCAA Tourney. I’ll even say that about Bruce Pearl, but atleast he has a Final Four on his Auburn resume.

What does that say about the other 13 teams in the conference?

That, combined, have infinitely more Final Four appearances than Alabama?
