Milroe can’t hit the broad side of a barn?

He’s 5th in the country in completion % while being #1 in yards per pass thrown.

Do you see Alabama players taking passing behind the line of scrimmage to the house out here?

There are plenty of things to bag on Milroe for related to his 1H against USC, but accuracy other than the screens isnt really one of them.

But coming on the SECR expecting objective football conversation is optimistic at best. Half the people don't know football and the other half just want to troll.

Milroe has deficiencies in his game, hes not a great decision maker...but he also makes great plays. When you weigh the good and the bad, hes still an above average QB

We were giving 5 a free rush quite often.

Never seemed like we had the quick pass plays called for those situations, though. It was weird. I’d see the free rusher and think, “nice, we have a quick little 5 yard gainer here.” And then the routes would be nothinf of the sort. It was odd.

Anyways, on the play in question, Milroe got instant pressure from the left. As he slid to his right, Kennard went from sorta manning an area with an o lineman kinda monitoring him to rushing the passer and being in Milroe’s face pretty quickly.

At that point, Milroe panicked and made a terrible play.

We murdered teams on those looks with Tua and Mac.

They'd bring pressure off the edge and Ruggs or Waddle would take a 5-7 yard hot route slant and turn it into a 60 yard TD and the other team would fold up. We dont see the pressure now, so the hot route doesnt get called and our WR's never get a chance to make an open field play.

For Christ sake. Yes he has a good completion percentage. But most of the time the receiver is wide open, or RW makes an incredible catch. Incredible receivers can make mediocre QB’s look great. He’s not consistent. He doesn’t throw the ball away, he takes too many sacks, although I agree the o line isn’t great either. But he has to be smarter and not take 10 yard sacks and 12 yard safeties. It puts our mediocre defense in bad positions and they get tired. I actually think the defense if rested can be better than they look and have played. We’re young in the secondary so they get some grace. We can’t just line Milroe up and run right 15 times like we did again Vandy and SC to beat LSU, Missouri and others in a 12 team playoff. The good teams will shut it down.

This will be the best Defense Bama has seen all year in a fired up Neyland Stadium. This has the potential to be a really good game.

He’s not a QB. He’s an athlete that can throw a deep ball. A++ athlete with D QB = average QB. Not above. Yesterday there were 25 teams that would have beat us. If SC doesn’t fumble and make mistakes, they win. If the game is on the line and we have to drive 75 yards in two minutes, don’t count on Milroe to get us to the end zone. Unless Ryan Williams makes an unbelievable play.

I agree. I think Nico will get there eventually not this year tho. He overthrows receivers causing them to get hurt at times. On his behalf some of the problem is our Oline sucking. We run 1 small running back all the time, predictable play calling. Truly I don't know what to expect, we both suck right now but I'm afraid we may suck worse. We've sucked ever since halftime of the Oklahoma game or maybe all our issues have been exposed. Either way, we both aren't too happy going into this one. Oh well Here's to 3rd Saturday in October

The passes to RW aren’t literally perfect passes?

I normally never respond and just come here for the comments but....If we had a real QB and Milroe was just a running back, we would be having a much better year. He is NOT a good QB.

All of your criticism, to me, is 90% on coaching and OL.

I think, with adequate OL play, Milroe is THE best quarterback in the country.

Because of that, I hold the OL and coaches responsible for making the adjustments.

My first thought isn’t, let’s sit this QB. Call me crazy

This is going to be an ugly game. I’ll guess that we make Milroe look incredible, our offense continues to be anemic, and Bama rolls 31-6.

Exactly. This is the correct mindset. Alabama will beat Tennessee. Tennessee can't win. Ducks can't pull trucks.

You guys have bigger fish to fry. Like Missouri and Oklahoma. Tennessee is not worth worrying about.

Ok well there arent many good QBs. The best traditional QB Bama has faced...they beat. The best "athlete playing QB" Bama faced...they got beat

No of course not. He’s the best shot for us to go 9-3. I truly want Bama to win every game all of the time. I truly want Milroe to do well. But I’m not stupid either. We don’t win titles with Milroe, hurts and Blake Simms. We win the with Mcarron, McElroy, and Coker. Not athletes, but very smart game managers who could consistently throw the football.
