Is the Creighton coach already taking swipes at Alabama through the media? I heard he was trying to talk shite about our attendance for some reason.

Bama makes games ugly, so they got a good chance.

Bama! Beat Creighton!!

Creighton. Only because Eddie Sutton coached there before he left for Arkansas. You know that has to be a boost for any program to know "Arkansas stole our coach".That has to make that program realize how special they are.

At first I wasn't crazy about the draw, but I think it's the most favorable of the 9 seeds after looking at the brackets. UNC is the most vulnerable of the 1 seeds IMO. You could argue MSU, but then we'd have to play Memphis in the first round, and they are playing ridiculous right now.
Like someone else said, l it takes for them is to get hot from the 3 point line, and we're toast. It's a catch 22. If you press, it leaves you vulberable to giving open looks from the 3 point line, but if you do if gives you transition opportunities which seems to be their weak spot.

We have to press and create fast break opportunities. I want a UNC matchup, but I'm not sure we have the scoring to keep up with Creighton. We have to make them miserable with our pressure. Press while covering their perimeter shooters. We can't let them drain threes like Florida did and expect to win.

WE GUNNA frick DEM BOYS UP!
actually I'm sick of playing teams that put up 30+ three point shots a game to my team that considers 5 made threes a banner day

I think our defense will stop their threes. They can get hot but like UF they had to shoot what 30 ? to get 10 3s? I'd also say the overall guard play for UF > guard play for Creighton. Plus, We come from the same school as UF so their guards were ready for us during the SECT game.
UF tried to give that game away and mental mistakes killed our 'Bama team. That is the biggest thing for our team. Cut down on the stupid mental mistakes and we will be in the game.
Also, I think Green and Jacobs can work the inside. Jacobs has to start rebounding like a boss in the tourney.

Jamychal has to stay out of foul trouble, because I think he has to be the one to guard McDermott. He'd work Jacobs inside and out, and he'd give Cooper a lot of trouble inside.
They'll make their share of threes I'm sure, but hopefully their defending is as bad as people say. Our offense looked pretty decent against another bad defensive team (Arkansas), but then again we just made some wide open shots that a lot of times we just don't make.

Lately, our first halves have been fricking awful. We can't come out shell shocked or unprepared.
Like I said right now, our team is slacking mentally. It's been our achilles heel all year long.

Think Steele will get some minutes guarding McDermot? Otherwise it will be Green most of the time. He would definately abuse Jacobs

Maybe. Obviously Jamychal is going to have to sit some whether its for fouls or not.
I can't see us putting Jacobs, or the two big men on him. Holy frick, that would be a disaster. Plus they have a 6'9 270 big so I assume that's who our other bigs would be on.

I think I'd walk down to the court and make Grant piss in a cup for a drug test if he put Jacobs or either of the bigs on him. They'd get beaten every single time. Green will struggle to keep up on the outside and with his penetration. That's why I think Steel may be our best bet, or at least see even time with Green, on him. He's just more versatile and still has a bigger body to fight down low.

I think Levi, Cooper, and Steele can all guard him around the perimeter. We need to be face guarding him and try not even allowing him to touch the ball.

their defensive numbers are atrocious so I'm wondering if we hound these guys with the press will they fold on offense?
are they used to running up and down the court?

I'm not sure how many teams have tried pressing them. I hope we are extremely physical with them but McDermott in general. Anything to get inside his head.
