Look at where the hand was before shot and who initiated contact. He didn't foul him.

All the announcers are confirming he was clearly fouled on that last play, even Barkley, who openly admitted before the game he was pulling against Bama. He was hit pretty hard on the arm and that is why it was airballed so bad. Should have been 3 free throws. Releford would have made 2.

I think the ref was holding up his hand to signify a 3 pt shot, not a foul.
