You can't even turn on the local Atlanta channels without reports about UGA playing in the title game. Damn amateurs.

Five minutes after Alabama got their arse kicked in the Iron Bowl the Alabama TV and radio was all about Bama deserving to be in the Playoff even with that mud-stomping.

Bama fans are about to find out how arrogant UGA fans really are. So bad some AU fans might even root for Bama.

Maybe if Bama had a bigger name opponent.

Where are you playing this game? Where are all SEC championships held? Hint, not in Alabama. GA is the crown jewel of the South and UGA is the flagship university in the state.

Maybe, but Alabama is the flagship University of the SEC in football and the crown jewel of all of college football. Ever notice all across the country teams trying to make the playoffs chant "We want Bama!"? Ever heard anybody chant "We want Georgia!"?

What?

The SEC Championship and National Championship game are in Atlanta. Huge difference in Atlanta and the rest of the state of Georgia.

Whether Atlanta is the capital of the south is debatable but the university of Georgia is not in Atlanta.

No state puts more into college football than the state of Alabama. Because in Alabama, college football is life. It's all you have. In Georgia, we have so much more to offer. Other states do as well. What Bama and Auburn don't understand is that the rest of the country kind of pities the state of AL and allows people like you to beat your chests without much recourse. We want to win tomorrow, but I'm not gonna beat my wife if we don't. But if Bama loses, a lot of wives/cousins will be beaten and a lot of mobile homes will be destroyed.

No, the University of Georgia is in the best college town in the US.

Please, dude. You do not want to get into a GA/AL comparison with me. Surely you do not.

That doesn't mean a whole lot. If I remember correctly, there are around 20,000 Alabama alumni in the Atlanta metro alone. There are Bama fans all over my subdivision. You can't drive in or out without seeing a Bama decal or yard flag.

After living in GA for a year I’ve noticed that they only difference between UGA fans and Bama fans is that one wears a black G and the other wears a crimson A.

If Georgia loses tomorrow I expect an equally high number of Georgia fans beating their wives.

Really? Because this thread says that you guys are spending more money. I was on youtube watching videos of UGA fans react to winning their playoff game. Then I went to see how many Bama fans posted their reaction against Clemson and I could not find one. This is clearly a bigger deal to UGA fans than Bama fans.

Actually, I've read about 3 dozen times in the past month on the rant from Bama fans that they want Georgia.

Well... get ready to rumble.

Atlanta might as well be in another State than Georgia. It is nothing like the rest of the state. There is nothing to debate after that.

Sure, we wanted an all SEC finals. We like your coach and you guys are not a rival, so sure, most of us pulled for your team to get here. But an actual chant from a fan base at the end of a big game, I think not. May the best team win.

Well, Alabama has no Atlanta, so........... Look, dude. I've traveled extensively all over the US on business. Particularly in the SE. I've been to every nook and cranny of GA and AL. There are two places that I would live in AL. There are many, many in GA. You cannot compare the two states. And you just embarrass yourself trying. Does AL have any pro sports teams? Any major golf tournaments? Any elite universities? Ever held Oylmpics? Major airports? Museums? Aquariums? Sporting venues? Anything not related to college football or Huntsville? Truth is, if the Southeast was going to get an enema, they'd stick it somewhere in between AL & MS. Sorry, but Alabama is a shithole.

Well, Mobile is a pretty cool city and BHam has some good medicine. You are right about most of it. I just have one question for you. If the state of Georgia is so superior to Alabama in every way, then why do you have to travel to Alabama(which you clearly hate) in order to earn a living?

The only elite academic institutions in Georgia are GT and Emory. Georgia isn’t one of them. What is your point when Athens nor the University of Georgia meets any of these standards? Atlanta is a fine city but the University of Georgia has nothing to do with that.

I know that you're probably a sidewalk Gump, but if you think there is no connection between Athens and Atlanta, then I have to question your IQ. Also, I can't tell you how many kids who can't get into UGA that have to go to Bama or Auburn to get their grades up, then qualify for UGA. UGA is heads and shoulders above Bama. Want stats?
LINK Save you some time. UGA - 16th, Bama - 51st. I mean, come on. Let's end this nonsense. Who outside of Alabama would possibly compare the state of Alabama favorably to the state of Georgia. Most with a reasonable IQ in Alabama wouldn't even do it.

Much like how I pity Cobb County. Makes sense.
