QBs transfer all the time. There's nothing he could have done about a guy with a degree already in hand. I mean, you literally just described why Florida shouldn't have let Cam go.

and the chess game begins...saban has NO reason to put out his starting qb to the public. he, his coaches, and the team know who's going to start already. you can't go into game week and implement a game plan without knowing who your guy is.. some of you have no common sense or have never been a part of preparing for a football game.

The last time Saban did something questionable should've been a fake field goal too.

The only thing surprising to me is that Sims has remained ahead of Morris and Bateman. I thought the competition would be between those two and Coker. In reality, I don't think Sims is really being considered as a starter in any long-term respect. If Coker were injured, I'd expect one of the other pocket passers to move up the depth chart.

I think you are mistaken. Though I expect Coker to eventually start at some point in the season, should he be injured, Sims would assuredly start.
I mean, shite, Bateman and Cornwell couldn't beat out Alec Morris for the backup spot.

I fully expect Sims to start in lieu of Coker and his apparent shortcomings. Nick Saban is weird about his QBs in their competitions. But oh well. Whatever helps us win. GOAT QB can come later I suppose

What happened to E Jackson?

Show me where I have hyped up Coker as slightly less amazing than Winston and I'll eat a plate of crow.

He's listed as backup at one of the CB positions. Once he completely heals from his surgery (and, by all accounts, he had recovered very well so far), I expect him to start over Sylve. Humphrey and Brown will get reps, too.

As usual the funniest comment on here is from a pig. Sure we all know if Bama's QB's are horrible they are going to go 6-6 with that schedule. Hell, they could not throw a pass all year and win 8 at least.

Meh, maybe I'm wrong. But, this has been my opinion all along and I'm having a difficult time letting a bunch of coach speak change my mind about it. Maybe Sims HAS improved, but he has to have improved in leaps and bounds as a passer if Saban is really considering him as a possible long term starter.

Pretty sure reality is that Bama will still own yall, no matter who plays QB.

I think we can give credit to either of the '11 games to the kickers, not the QBs.

You just made my point, guy.

idk, Jefferson deserves some credit for the Bama win in the BCSCG. we can all close our eyes and see the INT gif

Let's think about it.
I've got a QB that's only a Jr that's as good as my Heisman winner. My Heisman winner will only be in school one more season, and they were neck-and-neck, so win the starter leaves, there's no fall off. So what am I gonna do?
I'm gonna LET his neck-and-neck backup walk and go to the school that is more than likely my biggest opposition to another natty.
Yeah, sounds legit.
Nothing Jimbo could do about it.
