I actually posted an idea for a similar version. I called it the Alabama Invitational National Championship Playoff. Since Alabama's in it every year (and usually wins), why not select the next 3 best teams to participate, and make it an annual event...makes sense.

I've resigned to the fact that Alabama will never be, Pac 12 champions.... or NCAA FCS National Champions either. It's a cruel world.
