People had bailed on Grant and the team was miserable. The last 4-5 home games you could hear a pin drop.

The joint was like a fricking tomb. If those shitty numbers didn't tell Battle and the rest of the Administration that it was time for Grant to go, then I don't know what would.

There are no disclaimers. It is what it is.

Either basketball attendance this year was "about 4,000 per game" or it wasn't.

I don't see what's so difficult about that.

Take it or leave it.

Louisville has the best arena deal in the country thanks to back door Jefferson County politics. Do some research on your own since I'm sure my word will be discredited as a Kentucky fan. They also benefit significantly from alcohol sales being allowed at games.

Well, I certainly showed - from your own information that you provided - that the number you were using was an outlier

You might want to go back to stats 101

you're still trying to pretend that it's the norm

You mean like you are pretending that the tickets sold is actual attendance?

I think they did, honestly. The next season was probably a bit better, but not much. People just decided they weren't going to support the program anymore. At the time seeing all the empty seats was embarrassing, but I truly think it had a lot to do with the decision to get rid of him.

Must be an April Fools joke.

Bama rarely ever has more than 4-6K in seats. More likely 2000 is the actual number.

tickets sold =\= fans that watch.

As an LSU fan I can attest to that. After all, we count every fly that lands on a chair in the box as an attendee.

That's just silly. 95% of the SEC games have more than 4-6K in the seats in years in which we are competitive.

Here is what I said:

Do I believe you that our actual average, butt in seat attendance is only 4,000 per game? Not even a little bit.

Here is what you said:

This is great.

Would you like to ban bet on it?

My answer to that is yes.

The LSU, Auburn, and Kentucky games were full meaning that there was 45000 people total in those games. It would take 6 games of ZERO people to bring that 9 game average down to 5000 per game

I agree, but UCLA has become pretty pathetic for a "blue blood". Their attendance is awful.

I would. There's no way in hell we average 4k in attendance.

Retarded trainer is retarded. And NYC is wrong as usual, but he'll argue and obfuscate for 15 pages.

I'm wrong? I actually provided a documented example/fact to support my claim.

I am sure you will go on to argue that the fact is not real though, for 15 pages

NYC literally picked by far the worst attendance year in Alabama basketball history (CAG's last season) and thinks that is the norm every year or most years. Laughable how little he actually knows but claims to know more than people who have actually been going to games for 30 years. I can't speak for most of the non conference home games, but for as long as I can remember Alabama has averaged well over 10,000 butts in the seats for home conference games.

Btw, to whoever posted it earlier it IS outlandish to consider Alabama a top 25 overall program. They're about 35th all time in wins but lower when you consider everything else. The last comprehensive ranking of all time basketball programs I saw ranked Alabama #54 among the top 100 programs of all time but that was from a poll done about 10 years ago. We would have dropped since then

even with your added disclaimers to the original point, I wont be self banned. the info you want wont be published. and if it does, it wont be for quite some time.

I never stated that for this year, the average was around 4k. I stated that with claimed average attendances around 10k, you average around 4k. There are fluctuations throughout the years. But there is a big difference in the number of tickets sold vs actually attended. that difference is in the several thousands.

I am not sure why alabama fans get their rocks off, claiming mythical attendance at their sporting events

That arena is a total boondoggle isn't it? Something about sponsorship agreements not being enough to cover debt payments? I remember reading an article about it a year or so ago and it sounded like a total nightmare.
Yes it's a complete joke what they did to the taxpayers of Jefferson County. Belle is a resident there if I'm not mistaken, so I bet she can elaborate even further on how ludicrous it really is. North Carolina I can believe makes as much as us in a given year.
