I wonder if there is a package deal for Bama Fans, if they are season ticket holders in Basketball, they get some preference for football season tickets ?

Basketball season tickets count towards your Tide Pride points which counts towards your overall ability to buy season tickets for all sports.

So, lots of the upper level Tide Pride folks buy basketball season tickets and only use them for big games. That is why games like Norfolk State and Winthrop the area behind the benches looks awful but the student section and 2nd level are generally 75% full.

It sucks and at the very least they need to move them somewhere else if they aren't going to come to 2/3 of the games.

Do I believe you that our actual average, butt in seat attendance is only 4,000 per game? Not even a little bit. I don't even see how that's feasible when we basically pack the house for pretty much every decent SEC game, and most weekend games in general.

I could believe it for mid-week games in November and December, but yea not for the year total. No way.

Exactly. We easily put 10,000+ in Coleman for most SEC games. That alone is going to produce a higher average than 4,000 per contest.

This is great.

Would you like to ban bet on it?

think the games like Norfolk State and Southern Miss probably draw 4-5K people (1/3 capacity). I think almost all SEC games draw about 10K minimum, and about half our home games are 90% filled (Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, this year A&M).

Mesh all that together and you come to an average of somewhere around 10K.

Your average actual attendance is around 4k a game. this comes straight from Alabama directly, via open records

Louisville makes bank because they basically own the Hum center and alcohol sales during their games. Plus Rupp does not have luxury boxes.

Are you saying the entire year average butt in seat attendance is 4,000 people?

I'd 100% take a ban bet on that. It just isn't true. We only had 5 OOC home games and 9 SEC games, 4 of which I know for a fact had 80-95% butts in seats (which equates to 12-15,000). That alone would put us over 4,000.

I'd love to see that, because that doesn't make any sense. At all.

Unless capacity of the arena is actually 8,000 instead of 15,000 or they aren't counting students. I have eyes and attended multiple games and I know that the arena was at least 80% full for the Auburn, LSU, Kentucky and Mississippi State games. That is 4 games with at least 12,000 people (LSU was more like 14,000, there were only single empty seats).

according to data obtained by The Tuscaloosa News under open records laws. Actual attendance dropped nearly 38,000 from the previous season to less than 4,000 per game.

here is an example of 2014. How long are you going to ban yourself?

Oh, you mean in Anthony Grant's last season, a year in which the entire fanbase boycotted the program?

I'll never post again if you can show numbers for 2015 that say something similar. TIA.

From your own stupid quote, attendance dropped 38,000 from the previous season.

That was from the 13-14 season wasn't it? The year we went 13-19?

I'm shocked it was that low, but that is believable. People had bailed on Grant and the team was miserable. The last 4-5 home games you could hear a pin drop.

For one year, the 3rd worst season in program history and one that started with discontent for the coach already in place.

Butt in seat attendance was not 4,000 people this year or 90% of seasons.
