Saban did the same thing to Pete Jenkins at LSU. This is his way of firing coaches who are older and probably do not want to move.
Saban goes through coaches faster than anyone I have ever seen.
Saban never takes responsibility for anything he does and takes players mistakes out on his coaches.
Pendry will stay at Bama for a while and then move on to another job. He is a very good coach but might have popped off on little "Napoleon".

Umm, Pendry is a fantastic coach. There is no reason for him to want him gone

Pendry wanted to retire on his own last season but stayed for 1 more year due to the request of players. This came straight from the horses mouth at last summers football camps which I personally brought 2 elite players (2012 recruits) who I guarentee will sign with Bama and not auburn.

“The last four years have really been some of the most enjoyable and memorable of my career,” said Pendry. “I just felt like this was the right time to retire and I’m looking forward to spending more time with my family, especially the grandkids. I can’t thank Coach Saban and everyone at the University of Alabama enough for all they’ve done for me and my family. ... Tuscaloosa has been very good to us and is really our home now, and I’m looking forward to helping out Coach Moore and the athletic department in the future.”

“We are really happy to be in Tuscaloosa and I have to say my wife fell in love with Tuscaloosa within 12 hours,” Stoutland said. “We are excited to be here and I can’t wait to get started.”

This what the SEC Rant has become. People need to recognize the downward spiral and rise up in arms!

Yeah and it's obviously put up a divide between the two.
Jenkins was at Saban's first coaches clinic.

Do you not realize the assistants don't talk to the media, unless it's the policy of the bowl site? We hear from our coordinators only twice of a year. We rarely get statements from position coaches. That's been Saban's policy since his Michigan State days. And as for Pendry, he's 63 years old, and ready to retire. He's also a long time friend of Coach Saban.

There are times when the stupidity on this board make me just want to end it all.

For partsman
You took recruits to visit Bama and guaranteed they would sign with Bama. Is that legal? Are they both your children? Are you there agent?

I guess you don't even realize that Saban and Pendry have been friends for 30 something years, and grew up around one another in West Virginia.
