As I said in another thread, they should have let Smart go to Georgia and promoted Pruitt a few years ago. It was one of the worst mistakes Saban has ever made.

defense actually played pretty well
there was the batted ball td and then the long pass on the run/pass option which was read just how we wanted the db to off of the lineman. not much to do about that.

If our DBs ever learn that they can turn their heads during a play our pass defense will be substantially better.

I actually think a change may need to be made. That is the one group that has not improved at all.
Say what you want about the offense, but they have scored a lot of points since Kiffin has arrived. They had over 500 yards last night.

The defense wasn't perfect, but stout. Secondary has been suspect the last few years. 5 turnovers and a couple of fluke plays is not on the defense. I blamed special teams and offense.
