A 10 win season in 1999 is not the same as a 10 win season in 2025. Getting less than 10 wins at Bama in this era is unacceptable. Getting 10 wins anywhere in that era was a good season.
Even Dennis Franchione had an SEC-title caliber team at Alabama. Team just wasn't eligible for the SECCG even though they won the SEC West. That team scheduled a 13th game at Hawaii in November as a middle finger to the NCAA's postseason ban.

Even ole Miss and Tennessee have had that in their past. So has Florida.
