Alabama has won 5 national titles since Texas won one, and Alabama has finished 8 of the 9 previous years ranked #1 in 247 recruiting rankings. This year UA is #2 behind Clemson.

Bama has signed this type of class for years now. You did it last year and the year before that and the year before that. But the results on the field this year didn’t reflect the classes Bama has had.
I don’t think anyone thought that this one year was going to cause the collapse of Bama. Anyone who said so was trolling Bama fans because it obviously got y’all riled up.
The point is, other teams in the SEC are getting batter. LSU will no longer be running an archaic offense. Tennessee is getting better and Pruitt is gonna have them at least competitive. Auburn has always been a thorn in Bama’s side. Kiffin is gonna make Ole Miss better and he’s gonna upset some teams.
Bama isn’t “done” but your back to back to back appearances in the playoffs likely is. Not saying you won’t ever make the playoffs again. Of course you will. Bama spends too much money not to. You just won’t be guaranteed a spot every year anymore.
