Jalen claims both schools, but looking at it objectively his time at OU is what got him to the NFL and made him successful. He developed more in a year with Riley as an actual QB than he did his whole time at Bama.

Downvote away fellow Bama fans, but its true.

I think the whole discussion is kind of stupid and overdone though. Who cares?

REMINDER

Jalen’s mother had to step in and tell Gumps to SHUT THE frick UP after they harassed and berated Jalen for doing what was best for him

Then watch Jalen's first year in the NFL. You see the same rollout to the right at the first sign of trouble. The same first step is to run the ball when he feels pressure. The same habits he had always had that stopped growth as a full progression read QB.

The guy played in 42 games for the Tide and won two SEC championships for them. I'm sure you weren't watching football back then, though, given how badly Tennessee sucked.

Yes Bama is desperate.

Seriously??

Desperation is staring back at you on your computer screen when you turn it off. Good grief.

Careful, you are about to give this clown flashbacks of Jalen Hurts and 2016 in Knoxville.

I have never seen another school claim a player that transferred away.

Although I guess it is fair since Jalen still claims both and did play a lot of Bama…

It’s still kinda weird and I bet if he wasn’t the number 3 player in the league it wouldn’t feel so forced…

Alabama still have 12 on the Top 100 without Jalen Hurts.

Really dude? The only QB who took more snaps at QB than Jalen Hurts in the Coach Saban era was AJ McCarron.

He went to 3 straight National Championship games at Alabama and started 2 of them.

Tenn has been desperate for relevance for 20 years; hence your continued shite posting.

But it really isn't. He very obviously turned a corner as a passer in 2018, as was evident by his backup duty, and his heroic performance against a top 10 D in the SECCG.

Well, yeah. He pretty much sucked at Bama and was benched.

But he is an alumnus, with a 4 year degree, started for 2 years, was a part of multiple championships, and still wears Bama gear proudly.

Not “claiming him” because he spent one semester at OU would be retarded.

Seems like your desperate for attention dude.

You need to just STFU.

You're an embarrassment to all UT Fans.

Go Vols!

I personally would claim him, but if the conversation is about development I think the discussion is a little different. And when teams are using it as recruiting graphics, it is a development discussion.

Jalen was in a pure-spread air raid at Oklahoma. He was throwing passes against the air compared to the legitimate defenses in the SEC. Jalen made progress every year he was at ALABAMA in a full progression read offense. In 2018 he played a lot of football when he wasn't starting. If you care to remember correctly Tua never played in the 4th quarter until the LSU game. The SECCG against Georgia speaks for itself. Jalen always had a good arm.

Here's some more reality just for you. What exactly has Baker Mayfield done that would suggest he somehow benefited from the Lincoln Riley School for fundamentals?

How about Kyler Murray and his love of film study? How easy was the air raid offense at Oklahoma for this nitwit? Didn't they have to put a clause in his free agent contract that he would devote so much time each week to film study? And how is his game progressing?

You can say what you want but Jalen was a much better QB at BAMA than you are foolishly misremembering.

So every player that is not first string has been "told no" by that team?

Seems like that means about 60 scholarship players on every FBS team is playing for a team that "told them no".
