Why is Alabama able to pass the "eye test" THIS year like they do every year?....and honestly, I'm not exactly sure who they've beaten to warrant them passing this mythical "test." I absolutely believe that they're so high in the polls based on what they've done previous years, rather than this year.

Have you seen Blake Sims play? He's honestly not that great. Cooper has bailed him out on a NUMBER of plays. He's DEFINITELY not what they've had with McCarron and McElroy the last 6-7 years.

Defensive Rankings so far vs. teams Alabama has faced....They've scored 1 offensive touchdown vs. a defense higher than 20th this year.

62nd
110th
98th
22nd (Florida @ home)
19th (Ole Miss and had 1 offensive TD)
44th (225 total yards and 14 points)
76th
53rd

The teams they struggled against, honestly, Sims has looked shaky, at best.

Just thought I'd throw a few numbers out there as far as what they've shown so far this year. I'm sure there are a quite a few people that's watch BAMA play more than one quarter and find Sims to be a weakness rather than a strength for that team.

They've only played one top 20 defense. C'mon now, you're pushing it. Bama is Bama, stop grasping for straws.

reading the posters here, I am really starting to realize we suck. We might as well not even show up. I think we will come anyway.

lol what does this even mean? He bailed him out by catching a ball that was thrown to where he could catch it?

this is especially hilarious seeing as how both of those QBs have been touted as game managers surrounded by talent.

Yea he's definitely not McElroy. He's 100x more dynamic. But neither AJ or Greg were 3rd nationally in QBR either so perhaps he's right.

This is just one of a billion posts so far this week where LSU fans try to convince themselves they'll win by talking about Alabama (often with opinions not supported by fact), and completely ignoring their own team.

Read the entire linked thread. Not all LSU fans agreed with the OP.

Because they run the score up on all the garbage teams they play. But most of it is the bump they get for being good in years past and not so much anything they've done this year.
