When your goalposts have to be transported on a dolly, it may be better to surrender the topic.

I'll put this where an LSU fan can understand.

This Bama fan firmly believes anything Nick Saban does with the remainder of his time at Alabama is lagniappe.

Is this direct enough for you?

Honestly Alabama should have been in the playoffs last year and people know it.

Actually, no.

They did not win the games necessary to be there.

I understand why all these speculative threads about Coach Saban and Alabama now. But they have been pretty regular around here since he got here. They might be correct this time, eventually they will. But what will the reaction be if he does happen to have multiple National Championships still to come? I for one would not bet against him.

Coach Bryant was thought to be washed up in 1970.

Honestly, I hadn't thought about this until OP made this thread praising Saban, but that’s a really good point he made about 2020. Undefeated P5 schedule, all-conference regular season, and NEVER played a game with a home-field advantage. Simply incredible. Thanks for pointing that out, OP.

HELL of a run, but his dominant days are over.

I don't think so. His lowest finish in the polls since 2011 has been #7. Alabama has finished inside the Top 5 eight out of the last nine years.

Honestly he should have been gone after 2010. Can't believe we let that bozo stick around after losing three regular-season games. This is ALADAMNBAMA, we don't do that here.

That’s window dressing. Meanwhile Kirby is running away with college football.

Everyone outside of Georgia should fire their coach.

Got ya.

That's basically the approach LSU fans took with Miles, you might recall.
I guess it's perspective- drop from #1, to 'one of the best teams in college football' is one thing. Dropping to second-best team in your conference, that's different.

Ryan Day could be the perfect example. 10+ wins every year, playoffs, dude should be set for life if he wants to... but I think he needs to beat Michigan again, and soon. Crazy to consider, but if they go another 2 years behind Big Blue, his seat could get hot.

That might be the case with Bama and UGA. It's not a random SEC team occasionally beating them out, it's the same team, and you may be looking at being passed by.

UGA has beaten Alabama once since 2007. UGA beat a injured Alabama squad that destroy UGA about 3 weeks earlier.

Of course they did not play last year but I think Alabama wins that game too.
