Avery fell in our laps... had ZERO to do with Uburn as much as you all want to believe it. It was purely a timing thing. Avery was and is a very good hire.

It was a slow trajectory and we had some brutal losses, but I already know that the program that he inherited was much worst than what Avery inherited. That point isn’t lost on me.

No major basketball school is going to hire Pearl with his background. The SEC is stuck facing Pearl in Auburn as long as Auburn wants him there

It doesnt matter who your coach is in college. The only thing that matters is Will that coach get down and dirty recruiting. If you dont get in bed with these grimy AAU self appointed agents than you wont be winning very much.

Because he was black and had NBA on his resume. Also, I'm sure he nailed the interview. He did a great job of getting everyone excited until his first season started and shite went downhill
