10. LSU can make or break our season. On one hand we're likely headed to the BCSNC on the other we're working to inspire our players to get to the Sugar Bowl.

Bama fans' fear level (of LSU): scale it from 1-10
You know what I fear?
My kids getting hurt or killed.
Losing my job and not being able to find another one.
A second term for Obama.
A first term for Rick Perry.
Chupacabras.
My mother finding out where I live now.
You know what I don't fear?
Yeah. You do know, don't you?

Fear the LSU Fullbacks!
All the sports writers and TV reporters are always telling us about the Alabama great linebackers. "Big strong quick linebackers".
How many writers and TV reporters are talking about LSU fullbacks. Who are weighing 255 and 285. The major difference is LSU runs more with fullbacks, and it’s one of the main pressure points in this football game … They’re really good at it. It’s one of the ways that LSU can draw even in size to Bama linebackers with fullbacks.
The Tides linebacker are going to have a car in their lap as they try to find the LSU running back this Saturday night. Something that they are not very use to. I am sure.

Within the context of this conversation (damn sure not losing sleep over this or any other football game), LSU worries me a ton. And one of the biggest reasons is Les Miles. His kids love him and play their asses off for him. I think in a huge arena like this game has been built up to be, he is the type of coach to get his guys "looser" for the game. Not a small factor to be overlooked when a single mistake can tip the balance.
That being said, I still think Bama wins by 7+.

Unfortunately if we lose the season's over and it was a complete and total failure.
But I'm not too worried. What's the point? I think we're very very good. A bit better than LSU. If LSU comes to Tuscaloosa and beats this very good team on its home field, oh well. Credit to them.
I was able to get over the epic fricking meltdown that was last year's Auburn game in about 3-4 hours. If I can get over that I can get over anything.
And if we don't win the NC in football we'll just win it in basketball so who gives a frick.

I strongly disagree with this.

No, actually, that's the scariest news I've heard all week.

Ok, I'll bite: I bet the LSU RBs aren't used to having their FB stonewalled right in front of them on the line of scrimmage.
See how easy that was?

My fear level is maxed out to 10. I probably won't be able to watch the game without Lexipro or Abilify. Plus a couple of Zanaxes. Or some Proloffs.
OTOH, it's just another football game. Bama's been there before just like LSU. Let's be big boys about the whole thing.

0.005
ETA: I'm not actually scared of the game. That .005 is for the slight chance that I cross Jordan Jefferson at a bar after the game.

Keep moving your feet. If you go down, try to cover your face and neck. Better yet... Tell him it's the 4th qtr and there's no timeouts left. He'll go down with a leg cramp.

Eight trillion.
