I would have liked:
My roomates girlfriends brother works with a guy who is neighbors with Nick Saban, and the neighbor accidently got Sabans mail right. So he opened up his phone bill by mistake and there like 7 calls from a dallas area code. He also hacked Saban's computer by connecting to his router, and found an email from Expedia confirming his flight search for the Dallas area. Im not saying its a done deal, but dont be suprised if Nicky is gone by end of the season.... BOOK IT.
Quality post.

The more I think about it, I do not think that Saban is a big time glitz and glamor guy, seriously, do you see him embracing southbeach?
Nope, I never did.
I'll always believe that sometime in November of 2005, it dawned on him he made a mistake. It took a couple of years for things to work out for him, but I believe he knew sooner rather than later he should've stayed in the college game.
I don't see him stepping in the huge pile of cowshit that is the Dallas gig, either...How many coaches have passed through there since 1988? Not even the desire to conquer another mission should draw him into that mess.
The problems in Dallas have a common denominator- Jerry Jones.

What good coach in his right mind would want to go to Dallas to coach the Cowboys when Jerry Jones ALWAYS has a hand in what is going on on the field. Jones is a owner who wants to be a coach.
Sorry LSU fans, don't think that Coach Saban will be going to Dallas. He may leave Bama one day but I just don't think it will be for the Cowboys.

You do realize the NFL is on the verge of a lock out next year?
I wouldn't buy into any rumors with that still on the table.

For all those who think Saban will not go back to the NFL I just want you to know you don't know how Nick Saban thinks and works.
unless you are Terry Saban you dont either. You are talking out of your butt as usual.

Even if everything was hunky dory in the NFL, he'd still be nuts to accept an offer from Al Davis/Texas Division.

If Jerry Freakin Jones wants Nick Saban he could pay the buyout from Bama as chump change, build them a stadium three times as big and give Saban a blank check to fill in at his leisure.
Sorry, little gumpers if JJ wants Saban then nothing you can do will stop it.

Since you are so knowledgeable about football, please tell us what Saban's buyout is...?
Moron.

There is .0000000001% chance that he will go back to NFL. He has proven that he can't coach in the pros.
And if he did go back he wouldn't coach for a control freak... because control freaks don't like working with control freaks.

Saban and Jones would be like two beta fishes in the same tank.
kind of like when Parcells was there...Jerry Jones would have agree to stay out of the way.

Wow, so he does not even have a buyout clause. His days are numbered. Why the hell would Alabama not sign him to a contract without a buy out. He farts and decides to go to Cal State, Michigan or Jerry throws 20 million a year at him -- he is gone like the wind.

First off, I highly doubt Saban makes that mistake again.
Second, Jerry Jones knows damn well not to do this shite during the season, let alone in week 4. He KNOWS that would piss Saban off, and would not risk it.

Does a buyout ever actually stop a coach who wants to leave? All it does it make a coach expensive to fire. Saban isn't a coach you fire, and if he wants to move on, why try to stop him?
You probably need to worry about Mr. Petrino's itchy foot more than Saban's.

A little off topic, but Saban has no buyout, yet Miles has a $15 MM buyout.

Saban told Bama no like 10 or 20 times if I remember correctly and even went on TV and said "I will not be the next coach at Alabama." Then the boosters and powers that be started throwing huge money at him probably more perks than what he could even get in Miami.
He probably got tired of it and said "Ok" I will take the money as long as you do not lock me into anything so I can leave whenever or whatever time I choose to. So, the gumpers being soooooo desperate for winning football again. They agreed to those terms.
that is 90 percent of how it went down.
