First off congratulations on the National Championship Bama. Your team came to New Orleans and kicked LSU's arse.

I would have never said this before last night but Bama's coaching staff is much better than LSU's and I say this for a couple of obvious reasons.

First LSU has arguably the best defensive player in the country, and Bednarik winner in Tryann Mathieu. He has made more plays than any other defensive player in the country because the LSU coaches found ways to get him around the ball. (Zone, blitzes, etc.) Last night the defensive scheme did the exact opposite of that. I do no remember seeing him blitz once. He was locked in man to man coverage with Bama's painfully average receivers and the only times he did get around the ball were perfectly thrown corner routes by McCarron. The fact that the SCHEME kept Mathieu out of Bama's backfield in ridiculous IMO, especially when the team needed a spark which usually comes from the defense or special teams. (And it's time for you Bama fans to admit that Maze and Hanks are not very good.)

Second, LSU stopped the best RB in college football until TR's garbage time TD when the game was already in hand. For 3 1/2 quarters he did NOTHING which is very impressive IMO. When you can hold Trent Richardson in check you should be able to stop Bama's offense, but we didn't. While stopping Trent was great the fact that we couldn't even slow McCarron down on his dump offs to the TE's and receivers in the flats was pathetic. LSU didn't get any pressure on McCarron with our front four and it didn't even seem like they were considering blitzing. LSU let McCarron sit back there and pick his throws all night. Bama's line dominated LSU's front four the entire game.

And last was our offense. What can you say about it? It was humiliating to watch last night. There were absolutely NO wrinkles or changes from what we did in the first game. LSU was dominated by Bama's D in the first half. Then came out in the second half and did the exact same thing while continuing to be dominated by Bama's D. The coaches made NO offensive adjustments. It was like watching a person smash their head against a break wall, then stop and think about it for a minute, walk back to the same exact spot on the wall and start smashing their head again while screaming IT HAS TO BREAK EVENTUALLY!!!

Overall this team was not prepared at all last night. The coaches did a horrible job game planning and then an even worse job making adjustments in the game. this loss is 100% on the coaches. You will never again hear me say that Les Miles is better than Nick Saban. Saban and his staff showed that they are in a different class than Miles and his staff last night.

And I know tl;dr.

i've never seen a team, in such a big game, seem to care less if they won or not.

there was no urgency in the fourth qtr by our offense to try something new to get back in the game. amazingly we were only down 2 scores, yet it seemed like we were trying to run out the clock, accept defeat, and head home. baffling, disturbing, scary, surreal, strange, confusing, etc.

i mean, just, wow

I specifically remember him blitzing from the edge twice last night. Michael Williams blocked him with one and Barret Jones stopped him on the other. Honey Badger had zero affect in the game last night and was actually the player our offense decided to intentionally pick on the most. Believe it or not, he is the weak link in your secondary. Awesome playmaker, but average cover corner.

LSU OL Will Blackwell tweeted this:

Maze & Hanks are not elite, but they are good college players. I both games this year they outplayed the LSU WRs.

Appreciate the fine compliments but you're a little off in your assessment.

1) TM7 is no where near the best defensive player in CFB. He got punked all night. Also, he did pass rush at least 1 time that I remember but TR blocked him out of the play. AJ went after him because he knew he was the weak spot in your secondary. That was by design. You don't go after the best defensive player on the team (that would be Claiborne and he didn't throw in his direction all night). You couldn't put pressure on AJ because he was throwing it too quick.

2)Saban was hoping/praying that LSU would focus all its might on stopping TR. That would mean the short passes would be open all night. Perfect for AJ. You have a fine defense but TR still got almost 100 yards on only 20 caries, and the only TD by either team in 2 games. If it was a garbage TD then I guess he made LSU's arse quit. "That's our MO. That's who we are."

3) Your coach made a major mistake when he made JJ the starter. At worst he should have kept playing both QB's. Hell, didn't he learn anything in the UGA game? JJ has no arm. The only thing that could have tested us last night was an arm. I would have brought JL in at least in the 2nd half when it was obvious that nothing was different.

LSU will be back. You should have a great year in 2012 if you can get over the butt hurt from this game.

Without question.

McElwain may not be the greatest OC ever, but he's worlds better than the offensive coordinating LSU has had for many, many years now.

What are you talking about, not only did we blitz Tyrann but we also brought the house first and second half. Bama's O-line just did a great job picking up blitz's minus the sack that Kevin Minter got. We tried to get to him, just failed miserably

Well I guess it just seemed like LSU wasn't blitzing because (other than Minter's sack) LSU wouldn't have sacked McCarron if they were playing flag football

I saw Richardson pick up the Honey Badger's blitz a couple times last night.

2 whole times huh? In every other game this year he was in the offensive backfield once or twice per drive. This just proves my point that LSU's coaches took our best defensive weapon out of the game. Bama did a nice job making sure he stayed that way though.

Because Bama has a QB who can actually complete a forward pass. I feel like there aren't enough greater than signs to justify how much better Randle is than those guys
