Deboer is going out of his way to give so many interviews. He will ultimately do what he has to do but he is definitely grasping the importance of winning the public because is is a very genuine likeable guy himself. Total opposite of Saban in that area.

Simpson is going to make a very good QB for someone. We are stuck with Milroe it seems and I don't see him being able to run DeBoar's system.fully.

Let's not overreact. As bad as some of us claim that Milroe is, we did come within a hair of the National Championship game last year and also beat the "unbeatable" Bulldogs of Georgia. That was without an offensive guru (Lane or Sarkisian type). Deboer is just that....so let's just........relax

Milroy is the clear #1. He will be better this year. Everyone else is fighting for who is next off the bench and who will transfer.

Coach will get his shot at a QB next recruiting cycle. Simple as that.

I see with Saban gone Bama fans have now fully embraced the backup QB like the rest of us mediocres have done for years.

Huh? Alabama fans have never stopped doing that.

You don't remember Blake Barnett? For a damn year people wouldn't shut up about him. Then he starts a game and looks like shite, gets replaced by a true freshman nobody talks about.

And then that guy has Tua behind him, and the same shite happens again.

And let's not forget the whole Coker/Bateman deal. Or Phillip Sims and AJ, and on and on.

Backup QB is the most popular at Alabama just like everywhere else. At least among the dumber fans who for some reason think they know more than the coach being paid millions based on their extremely limited view of what goes on.

You’re both jumping ship after you start the season 2-2 because that’s the kind of “fans” Bama brings in.

It's year 3, and I was just wondering if Brian Kelly will finally win an opening game.

And, that was last season. A running QB is always more susceptible to injury than a pocket QB. Don't be silly thinking Ty is not needed.

You should make a list of playoff teams that will be just fine if they lose their starting QB.

So the Alabama programs success rests solely in whether we can keep Ty Simpson from transferring in April?
Ok

Well it’s obvious Bama doesn’t care about coaches breaking the rules, or scandals. They hired a football coach that tried to cover up a players rape charge so he could play in the CFP because his starter got banged up in the conference championship game. He suspended a running back from the team due to the 2 rape accusations and being under investigation, and only activated him because his starter was banged up. Sounds like a coach with character issues at best already. He has shown he will cover up a rape investigation just so he can play that player. Should got right in, in Gump Land!

Do we need to rehash the violations the Vols did in the past 5 years or are just gonna act dumb with that too?

Says the Tennessee program which is currently on NCAA probation and paying restitution for sexual assault charges.

Still chumps after all these years.
