Bama has prioritized size over speed in the front seven and that was evident and will be evident again this year
It's a shame we are stuck with such plodders as CJ at ILB. His glaring lack of footspeed is a deficiency I hope we are able to overcome.

I am expecting a great game again this year and I expect Bama to win but if they don't it won't be because Bama has a big slow defense it will be because A&M has a great team and wins. Alabama has more depth and more different defensive packages it can scheme to than anyone in college football. Bama can go big of course but they can also package speed. I expect a great game and I don't expect to fall behind 3 touchdowns, I expect a totally different game than last year win or lose.

I really watched the whole game last night on you tube. Amazing game.
I will say I have watched Bama over the years and they do seem to always get the long passes when they need them. I do not know how but they do. Its just the mystique I guess.
But honestly - if anyone has nothing going on rewatch the game. I assure you - the lost nature of Bama is evident.
But to their credit Bama is Bma and they hit actually not 2 but a 3rd very good hook ups a could have if not should have won the damn ball game.
Believe me Bama - I know you are damn good. Watch that game though - Yall were lost.

Typical A&M fan. Watching and reminiscing about an entire non-championship decider or game.... all on youtube.

You do realize that A&M lost 80% of their tackles from last year and almost 90% of their sacks. Bama has been concentrating in this one game for 3 months. Bama in a rout.

and it is a great game I had not watched it in its entirety sine the game was played. Many fans rewatch games. Not sure the knock there.
If you do rewatch it you will see I am accurate. Bama played better 2nd half but I wouldn't say in check. Our field goal kicker killed us. We didn't punt much.

Bama was lucky to even have a chance at the end. If A&M doesn't miss it's EASY fgs , the game is over early.

Whiskey Bent, no. Just no. Our offense really sunk our defense in the 1st quarter because we had no sustained drives. Same thing late in the game with turnovers. We weren't lucky to be close, and A&M wasn't lucky to win. It was just a good game.

I don't think so.
I'd say the 98 championship game for the Big XII was bigger. We also knocked K State out of the BCSNCG.
The Bama win was monumentally important as we got a marquee win over an SEC power in our initial season. It shut up just about everyone who was counting us as a dead program walking.
