I cannot wait to see all those Southerners running off the field to the heaters and their poor fans shivering in the stands.

Predicted low temps for Columbus, South Bend, and State College for Dec 20-21 are mid to low 30's. That's not bad at all. Low's here in Middle Mississippi have been in the 20's for a week and a half. That type of cold is bothering no team from the South.

Oh no a game in the 20s or 30s whatever will we do. We never deal with those temperatures here in the South.

Don't underestimate the wind chill.

I feel bad for those affected by the hurricane. I hope they can keep warm.
Is this cold kind of early for the South?

The last week has certainly been a cold snap in terms of the highs not really getting out of the mid-40s, but it's not a 100 year event or anything. Average weather this time of year in the foothills of the Appalachians (Birmingham, Atlanta, Columbia SC) is highs in the low-mid 50s and lows in around 35-40.
A sunny afternoon is usually pretty pleasant, but night time is generally going to be chilly to cold. We have weeks where its in the upper 60s sometimes and then weeks where it doesnt get out of the the low/mid 40s.
And of course "The South" is very different across the landscape of the conference. Lexington, Fayetteville, Columbia MO and Knoxville are not even in the same climate as Gainesville and College Station.

Wind chill was in the high teens here in MS this morning. Not a big deal.

Knoxville is only about 4.5 hours south of Columbus. Would be cold either place. It was 16 at my house in Nashville last night....
All the players come from the South anymore any way as Michigan and OSU struggled with the cold last week. Michigan just a little less.

My brother in Texas is always bragging about how nice it is as he hopes I freeze my arse off.
I live south of the Snowbelt but close enough to be affected by it.

Oh they’ll say football isn’t meant to be played in the snow or cold. GTFOH with that nonsense

For that you'll need a game with a temperature in the low teens or below, and some snow wouldn't hurt either. That kind of weather might be an advantage. But temps around freezing or slightly below aren't going to do much either way.

The Tide has been playing at Penn State since Coach Bryant.

Texas A&M plays at Notre Dame next year
Texas plays at Ohio State next year
Alabama plays at Ohio State in 2027
Alabama played at Wisconsin this year
Texas played at Michigan this year
Auburn played at Penn State 2 years ago
Georgia played at Notre Dame 7 years ago
LSU played Wisconsin in Green Bay 8 years ago'
The majority of the schools in your league (especially the old B1G West) play a FBS school and 2 MAC schools every year, making it impossible to schedule them.
If you mean "come North in November" then find me a team in a conference that plays a big non-rivalry non-ND OOC game after September.
