averaging over 30 points a game before last weekend, now LSU/Bama can't score?

I'm still scratching my head at what the rest of the nation took away from last weekends game. Two teams that have been smacking around competition, often beating them by double digits, meet for an EPIC defensive battle.

This was the most exciting, dramatic, tense game I have possibly ever seen and all the media can say is how boring it is. Now all of a sudden we "can't put enough points up to keep up with the high flying offenses."

Am I taking crazy pills?

The national media has a very, very short memory. They not only have forgotten what happened to the last "high flying" offenses to meet SEC defenses in a national title game, but they have forgotten what's happened so far this season.

The reason we dominate football is because the rest of the nation really does not understand football.

bama left like 8 TDs on the field. typical yankee media bias imo

i think both staffs ran pretty vanilla offenses with the exception of the maze throw. that could have had something to do with it.

Both played defense, but only one really gave a shite about field position.

Yeah, OU had been saying:
"no way LSU holds us to only 6 points, I like our chances against them!!!"

There isn't a team in oklahoma that plays defense.

That all comes to a forehead to dashboard screeching halt the 25th. In fact, you guys won't be able to move the ball with frequency. At all.

Oh, you'll get a first down sooner or later but when you do, Lee and Co. will allow the play clock to expire during first down so they could take in the unusual sight of their rich, beautiful new field position. "Wow, it’s gorgeous around here," Lee will say while running his hands through the grass and inhaling deeply. "It’s a shame we hardly ever get this far. Just look at the view - you can almost see the other end zone from here!"

Caught up in the moment, they'll be so excited they will take second and third down off as well, evidently just choosing to lie down and relax.

Thank Yahweh for Wing...

Heard Pat O'Brian on Fox SPorts radio yesterday, he was very unimpressed with both teams. Callers and other commentators said that both LSU and Bama would have trouble beating Okie State, OU, and Stanford because of our terrible QB's. One guy on the show defended the SEC and said that LSU would run for over 300 yards on Okie State, and that the QB's would never be a factor in the outcome.

This has got to be a joke. That '03 OU team was head and shoulders above this '11 OU team, they hung damn near 60 on UT and A&M, and what happened when they were sacrificed to LSU? They got most of their yardage and second score of the game in garbage time in the 4th quarter. Oklahoma is the last team in the country that has a right to play in a national championship game.
