Arkansas, one of the.........10-15 largest and most loyal basketball fanbases in college basketball.

Are you serious right now? Kansas has a similar size arena and is harder to get into as well, just to go ahead and help you with your next one.

Thanks for making my point.

alabama has a shitty basketball fanbase compared to the giants of the sport and their fans don't want to go to that outdated arena.

"Alabama's basketball fanbase isn't as big or rabid as Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas or Kansas" is a whale of walk off.

Our basketball fanbase would magically be a "giant of the sport" if we played games at Foster Auditorium, because get-in prices are apparently what determines such.

I could go on and on and on. We could get through 15 other basketball programs. It's comical that alabama has a $3 get in price tomorrow for a ranked Ole Miss team.

No it wouldn't be. You can't even raise money for a respectable arena.

Meanwhile at Auburn. . .

"The last priority list member that was able to purchase a pair of season tickets for the 2023-24 season had a basketball priority of $415,695. This number can fluctuate each season based on demand and the number of non-renewed seats."

Yeah, we went to small but at least most view this version of the O'Dome as a stop gap before we eventually build something new.

O'Dome is not going to be the long term home of UF basketball.

I'm talking about programs that have big arenas that aren't selling tickets for $3 for a ranked home game.

We've already been over how alabama's home ticket prices drop by 66% when not including the rabid Auburn and Kentucky fanbases. That $33 median price plummets when not including those games.

"Actually, if remove the 2 biggest home games against rivals and/or Top 10 ranked teams (that also happen to be on Saturdays) then the median is less"

Yea, I bet that doesn't apply to anybody else in college basketball

Choose any of those schools on your list. I would bet there isn't another school average ticket price that drops by 66% when taking away the two most expensive home games. That's an absurd drop that shows how skewed the prices are to those two games. It's only because of how well Auburn and Kentucky fans travel.

Also show me a school on that list that has a $3 entry price against a ranked team. I would be surprised if you found many, if any.

As has one final four in its existence. Buy the way you talk about AU, you would swear it was Duke.

Arizona vs #25 Baylor - $2

You sure get surprised a lot, hu?

I also added a normalizer that tries to take into account arena size and give a normalized get in price if all teams arena were the same size (not perfect but seems reasonable at conclusion).

Alabama's doesn't drop 66%, it drops 48.5% (Median of $33 with, Median of $17 without).

- Marquette drops 78% (from $19 to $5)
- Illinois drops 65% (from $90 to $32)
- Dayton drops 60% (from $22.50 to $9)
- Alabama drops 49% (from $33 to $17)
- Virginia drops 46% (from $33 to $18)
- Penn State drops 41% (from $21 to $12.50)
- West Virginia drops 33% (from $24 to $16)
- Iowa State drops 32% (from $57.50 to $39)

Again, you are just saying random things (pretty normal for you) and then hoping they stick.

I used the lowest ticket price listed on ESPN and alabama'a drops 66% when excluding AU/Kentucky.

Lowest ticket prices are what I've used this entire time. I re read your original post and you're using different ticket prices than what I listed in my other thread.

alabama's get in price drops from $64 to $21 without auburn or kentucky. That's a 66% decrease.

You could just acknowledge you’re a barely literate dumb frick instead of wasting even more of your own time crawfishing?

It's been clear this entire time I've used the cheapest ticket to get in. I've pointed out the $3 Ole Miss ticket tomorrow night the entire thread.

Not many want to go to that dump even though their team is ranked in the top 5 playing another ranked team.

Our capacity number appears outdated. We renovated in the past couple of years and I believe it’s 9,100 now

The Frank - Carolina Coliseum - 12401 - because when the Basketball Palace of the South was built in 1968 - Reynolds in Raleigh held 12400 - Big Frank demanded it be that way -

Frank McGuire Arena was the perfect size for Gamecock basketball - and it was loud thanks in part to a flat roof that pounded sound directly back down onto the court - and not a bad seat in the house - it had an intimidating home court vibe that will never exist in CLA -

18K Colonial Life Arena was too big in 2002 and it's still too big in 2025 - it's nice - has a lot - looks pretty - but the joint venture with the City of Columbia & USC was not the best path taken for Gamecock hoops -
