The criticism for him is that he's responsible for the QB room.
Well he recruited all 4 QBs on his roster. How is that not on him?

This isn’t really different from many other coaches. Look at Saban after the NC…it was the players who were given a chance that didn’t produce, not his fault that they weren’t prepared…
The part you are leaving out is the players he mentioned spent the majority of the year crying about playing time, and then when they got their chance they shite the bed with dropped passes.
I'm not sure what kind of coaching they needed to not drop passes. Everyone can benefit from playing time, but drops are mental.

Because he had to get all 4 of them in 1 year.
You know my opinion on Harsin, but Auburn hasn't given him anything that remotely resembles a fair chance.

I've mentioned this a couple times in the past few days, but I had heard Boise fans point to this guy's massive ego. I thought it was just a bunch of sour grapes that one of their own was moving on to greener pastures. But after listening to his shite Saturday after the game and his Monday press conference, his ego is big. That's for sure.
This guy is in waaay over his head.

Looking at this objectively, you can blame Harsin for a lot of things (including QBs which I said) but damn, Auburn didn't give him much of a chance. The boosters wanted Steele from the get-go, forced Harsin to hire certain assistants, tried to fire him after one season, and failed at that so they can the AD instead to make sure they can fire Harsin after this year. And the worst part probably is that all of this played out in the public arena. No QB with more than 1 year of eligibility worth his salt would sign on for that clown show. So you get TJ Finley, Robby Ashford, and Zach Calzada.

What?
This guy lives to trash Auburn. He's right this time, but he's the one who pitched such a hissy fit when Harsin wouldn't talk about vaccination status of his team.

What took him so long? Chad Morris mastered this on his first day.

How was he not? I don't see how you can objectively say that Harsin was given an actual shot to coach Auburn the way he wanted to when he was hired.

I have to imagine that Saban has earned a tiny bit more street cred than Harsin when it comes to knowing what it takes to field a highly prepared team. These players aren't androids that the coaches just have to program correctly and everything else takes care of itself. There is a level of buy-in and effort that is required from the players themselves in order for them to perform at their best. I am far more likely to believe a coach with seven NCs on his shelf when he says, "Certain players just didn't put the effort in, and that contributed heavily to our loss," then I am a coach who has never won much of anything and is in the process of probably losing his job.

Oh give me a break. Every coach on his staff are his hires. He didn’t sign a single additional player on NSD. Dude came in acting like Nick Saban yet he coaches like Nick Swardson.
ETA: about our qbs. He picked the guy that tried to run from police on a moped so yeah is he the guy that should be making the decisions?

Al.com sucks arse and this writer is one of the reasons why.

You are aware that Saban criticizes players all the time and it is never his fault. Just win and nothing matters. Lose and here comes a hack writer to pile on.

Auburn beats itself right now. Blame it on everyone. They suck.
