What other schools have said that? The only school I have seen speak on this is MSU and Auburn.

OU and Kiffin have both said that no money was solicited.

Why would he be shopping him to MSU only?
Because Cecil didn't have any shady aquaintances who were alumni of the other schools to help him out?

Or just maybe it was Kenny Rogers idea to try and get some money for Cam, and Cecil was dumb enough to go along with the idea because of the struggles of his church.

yes, most people will conclude they stole it.

Hell, I'm pulling for Auburn to win out. Then we can finally get a NC*

BCS NC *Auburn & *MSU

* Auburn - stole player / ineligible
* MSU - Stollee of ineligible player

Saying anything otherwise could put them into the investigation. They are saying stuff like that because they were also recruiting him. IMO Cecil had a price that anyone would have to pay and Auburn was the highest bidder.

IMO

That means as much as my opinion to the NCAA.

I find it hard to believe that he would shop Cam to MSU but anyone else could have him at no cost. It makes no sense at all.

It makes total sense. MSU, and I'm honestly not flaming, is a third tier football program and school. He may have said "if you want my kid to come there when he has much better options, you are going to have to bring something else to the table". I'm not saying that's what happened but the logic definitely makes sense. It actually fits in perfect with the "rented mule" statement.

It makes perfect sense to you as an Auburn fan because it removes your school from any wrongdoing. However these kind of things in the past usually tell a different story. If their was a price for a player that price probably applied to everyone and the school that got him ultimately paid the most. This story has been proven tried and true over the years time and time again and I doubt this is anything different. It is just a matter of connecting all the dots at this point.

Does Alabama claim the 1941 title even though they finished 3rd in the SEC and finished 19th in the AP poll ?

Damn, and that's THE ONLY SEC Football title MSU has EVER won.

This

If they were shopping Cam at MSU it's very difficult to believe they weren't shopping him around at other schools

Those other schools would have no interest in coming forward because they should have reported it and don't want to be visited by the NCAA

I'm not so sure it matters. People talk shite to tide fans about McCoy getting knocked out of the game, LSU fans about LSU backing in with two losses, USC fans about USC having an ineligible player.

The fact of the matter is that it really doesn't matter how much shite anyone talks. No one can take away the party Auburn fans get to have that night and probably that next week if the guys win it. Even if they can take back the wins, the crystal, or the Heisman, they can't take the feeling of the moment away, so them.

At the end of the day Auburn beat us this year. Paying or not paying Newton is irrevelant to me. I could give two shits if the kid and his family got paid. I understand it's wrong, but it doesn't affect me or my life at all!

I'm not saying nothing happened, I'm just saying it makes total sense to ask for a payment from MSU but not from other schools based on what they offer from an educational/football standpoint.

Is Southern Cal's 2004 ? Really,do many people give it much thought ?

Worse, the whole era is tainted. Southern Cal clearly doesn't care about that. Hiring Kiffin, they were actually "All In", first. Auburn is just doing it on a grand scale. And it won't take 6 years for this to happen.
