That is a relief. Only GPA and Tests. Finally.

I agree with this. I didn’t like this part though:

Spring semester acceptance was over in August 2023.

Sounds like Alabama is harder to get into than Auburn?

Neither school is difficult to get into, and neither school is turning away 50+% of applicants, nor will they ever.

Unless something has drastically changed, a student (from Alabama) that can get in to one can get in to the other. I can't recall anyone who applied for both that wasn't either rejected or accepted by both.

The numbers you’re quoting in the OP come from the AU press release I linked previously - which is from February of this year, citing early acceptance rates for 2024.

"Are we fine, financially."

"Can we provide deserving Students to provide for our State in the future?"

Just like always. We've never failed our State, Baw. And we never will.

Ole Miss has like a 97% acceptance rate

Basically the only qualification there is you breath and be able to dress yourself

You do realize this also applies to Miss St, right? Y'all have the same exact requirements.

Baw, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but all public institutions in the state of Mississippi are bound by law to have the same admissions standards.

Alabama ranks very low in the Nation in many, many metrics.

I don't understand why they feel threatened so much in this post.

There is nothing wrong with being a 3rd rate University in America. Tuscaloosa is a fine city.

And there it is. Knew it was just a matter of time before someone with an Auburn logo would show their ignorance. I'm honestly surprised it took 2 pages for it to happen. I figured it would be a part of the original post, so kudos to you that you showed your restraint.

The information is being cited incorrectly is all. It’s being posted without the proper context, which makes it disingenuous at best - a flat out lie at worst.

Good luck with your failed University, that drops in the rankings...year after year, after year. Roll Tide.
