This is how you manage a roster. Powell left on his own the other two were encouraged to leave.

Now imagine a certain Alabama head football coach doing this and the response from Aubies left and right.

Hopefully we can find someone to replace his 1 pt/1 board per game average. Might be tough.

You’re comparing football and basketball rosters?

Franklin, who saw just 5.4 minutes of action per game, averaged 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest during the 2021-22 season while competing for time in a crowded frontcourt that is only going to get more loaded next season with the arrival of five-star power forward Jabari Smith.
We’re more worried about Jamal Johnson and Justin Powell, but JP barely played.

I doubt Jamal Johnson was encouraged to leave.

Lol, the senior class last year left with the most wins in AU history.

Bruce is cleaning house over there....what does that say about his HS recruiting? Did he realize he missed on some kids and decided he needed upgrades via portal??

Considering only 1 of the 3 was recruited from HS and he chose to leave on his own, I would assume nothing. Justin Powell, BTW.

HS recruits? Sharife Cooper? Chuma Okeke? Isaac Okoro? Bryce Brown? Jared Harper? How did they turn out?

His HS recruiting has been the best we've ever had at Auburn.

Auburn has back-to-back McDonald’s All-Americans.

quote:

In 2020 Sharife Cooper was named a McDonald’s All-American, and on Tuesday, 2021 Auburn signee Jabari Smith was named a McDonald’s All-American. The Georgia native is the highest-rated signee in Auburn basketball history and ranked No. 5 in Rivals rankings.

quote:

Before Cooper in 2020 and Smith in 2021, Auburn had just two McDonald’s All-Americans in program history. Frank Ford in 1983 and Korvotney Barber in 2005.

quote:

Fellow Auburn signee Trey Alexander was a nominee for the McDonald’s All-American Game. Alexander is the No. 70 player in the Rivals 2021 rankings.

Come On man, it was an obvious sarcastic/troll post.

Bruce sees a way to upgrade his roster through transfers this year and is cleaning house to make room.

Sorry, nothing is obvious here, especially considering some of the Bama posters who chimed in above...

Not gonna lie, that would make me pretty salty. Bruce snags a guy who was criminally underrated out of Cal’s backyard and then once it’s shown he can play he ends up immediately transferring to UK? Yeah, I’d melt pretty hard

Damn. Some triggered barners itt. I wouldn't think a basketball school as accomplished as AU would be so sensitive based on all their past success. I was wrong.

20 win seasons / back to back 20 win seasons
Bama 30 and 15
Barn 12 and 5

13-14 Overall | 7-11 SEC - 10th

That's all you needed to say, sport.

At least you came back to admit it after getting absolutely destroyed in this thread.

That's what you think happened? I made one post to sit back and watch you boys melt. Mission accomplished.
