bullshite. Paul Des Jardien would have crushed Auburn's line if they ever played UChicago.

You'll absoletely never know that.

One thing that is certain is 2004 produced more NFL talent that performed better and longer in the NFL than 2004 USC did.

USC appeared more explosive because of the type of offense they ran and the weak Pac 10 defenses.

AU and Tommy Tuberville were as conservative as possible in offense so they didn't put up the style points but they still got the job done.

Cadillac was just as explosive as Reggie Bush. His rookie season was better than anything Bush did in the NFL, the Caddy got hurt.

Ronnie Brown >>>> Lendale White, the fat bum

Jason Campbell >>>>> Matt Leinert as a pro. JC lasted a decade and did better with shite organizations and teams than Leinart could do with a Pro Bowl WR corp

At WR Ben Obamana had a comparable career to Steve Smith, while Devin Aromashadu outdid Dwayne Jarrett

USC OL produced Ryan Kalil, AU produced Marcu McNeill, Ben Grubbs, and King Dunlap

DL: Pat Sims, Jay Ratliff, Quentin Groves for AU vs

They get an edge at LB for NFL talent, Lofa Tatufu> Will Herring. This liked undersized speedy guys though.

Or DBs blow theirs away. Carlos Rogers, Pat Lee, Junior Rosegreen,Kevin Hobbs vs a bunch of nobody's

USC got higher and probably more draft picks than AU based on hype, but AU's guys definitely outperformed USC's at the highest level

Totally disagree. You should not claim what you did not earn

You see this look on my face? It's called...respect.

How can you say the 2004 Auburn Tiger football team didn't earn the right to call themselves National Football Champs of College Football??

I dont know. Maybe because we did not win the National Championship game that year which was the criteria?

Go ahead and claim as many as you want Auburn.

But good luck getting anyone else to recognize them. In the end, no matter how you want to count them, you'll have less than Alabama. And I know that burns your asses.

WR Ben Obamana

AU had a fantastic team that year. Anyone that says they didn't is more than likely just trying to get a rise out of you. Auburn was a hard nosed SEC team...I really believe they would have curb stomped USC.

on a side note...Ben's name was 'Obomanu'.

oooppps...i was wrong as well...o...not a lol

It's not like we were given the chance and lost... Who else can claim 2004? Not USC, they cheated and vacated. Not Oklahoma, they were given the chance and got stomped.

That leaves Auburn.

frick some made up NCG that a computer picks. If there isn't two clear cut undisputed top teams then it's BS.

It's pretty funny that even with standards where nobody awarded the championship to Auburn they can only match Alabama's number of AP Championships.

Agreed. We didn't win it - just leave it vacant and move on. Anyone that watched the AU and USC games knows that USC wasn't that much better if they were at all but there's nothing anyone can do about it now.

Yeah it's hilarious that Auburn doesn't have as many National Championships as the team with more NCs than anybody else in the modern era.

How will Auburn ever go on as one of the 126 FBS football programs that don't claim as many NCs as Alabama?

Respect to you and Lanier.

I also disagree with any Bama fan claiming 1941 because it "makes up" for 1966. Anyone can claim they had the best team in a given year, and make a reasonable argument and I'll listen to it. But to call yourselves "National Champions" meant you won or were awarded a CHAMPIONSHIP (not necessarily a championship game, but a title based on SOME sort of criteria). The polls have all sorts of flaws, and many teams have been awarded championships when they were less deserving than another team, but that doesn't mean the other team was the "national champions".

God, I wish we would remove 41. That is a joke, and it makes it that much harder to have a reasonable discussion of the other years.

Then state the criteria and make it apply across the board. If you count a "national championship" for a given year, it can't be because Golf Digest named you, unless you are willing to make the Golf Digest "champions" just as legitimate as your BCS winning team in 2010.

So a fan of a school that doubled their claimed number of national championships in one afternoon back in the early 1980's respects somebody else not claiming similar fake arse, bogus titles. This actually makes sense to a bammer tard. Just curious, but how much merchandise do you own celebrating the bogus national championships bammer claims?
