How many threads are you gonna bring Bo up in? Texas came in and outbid Ole Miss. This is very easy to see and understand. Prior to Texas getting involved, Bo and Ole Miss had agreed to terms.

This happens all the time.

Bullshite.

Bo has been blacklisted by the SEC, Orgeron wanted to hire him last season but was told that wasn't happening.

Contrary to popular belief, the SEC doesn't have any veto power over hires and they don't have any ability to punish a school for making a hire.

Cheers Aubie. Not a bad consolation prize.

Freeze is about as popular as Kiffin on the Auburn board.

I personally think him plus the money we’d save in NIL (extra $5mm/year) would be a really really competitive combo.

This is a win/win for you. If I'm wrong, you have a 3rd topic to bookmark and stalk me with. If I'm right, then you're an idiot but that's nothing new.

I'm an idiot because you claim to have inside information yet you have been proven wrong several times over?

The SEC may not have any "formal power" over a coaching hire but they will damn sure pursuade a school not to make a hire if they don't want them to when said school comes to ask about it.

It's why Bo Davis wasn't hired by LSU in 2021 and why Hugh Freeze wasn't hired by Alabama in 2018.

I’d be happy with either one at this point.
Kiffin is a bigger splash but Freeze is probably a better value

Can't comment on Bo at LSU. Do know that Bo and Ole Miss agreed to terms. Maybe that was the excuse fans were given at LSU, no clue. Sorry if this offends.

I guess Texas was the excuse Ole Miss gave after they asked the commissioner if they could hire Davis and were told no.

Yes, the thing that actually happened is the excuse Ole Miss used.

I'm surprised that you actually believe Sankey approved the hiring of Davis and will approve the hiring of Freeze.

I am ok with Freeze...still a massive upgrade over Harsin.

Kiffin:

Maybe he was trying to negotiate a better deal or maybe we pulled the offer, who knows...

However, it hurts Ole Miss somewhat (Arkansas loss and maybe spooked some recruits) and his tweets were funny but unprofessional...

Don't think it will affect recruiting. Ole Miss' HS recruiting is pretty close to being done.
