Those guys need to be neutralized or it'll be a long night for the Gators

Quarterback- Florida. Home field advantage helps, and Trask has been efficient. Give me the experience over a true freshman on the road.

RB- Auburn. Florida May have more “talent” at running back, but it’s completely useless behind an OL that can’t run block and considering the defense we’re playing that specializes in stopping the run.

OL- Auburn. Enough said

WR- Florida. We depend on them more, and have a more talented group top to bottom. Watch how Florida’s receivers do blocking against somewhat undersized Auburn DB’s. Could be a key to the game.

DL- Auburn. Very close, and very tempted to give the edge to the team that leads the country in sacks and TFL, and is getting their best DE back this week. Both units have the ability to change the game. We all know the dudes on Auburn’s DL

LB- Florida. Another close unit, but I think a game changer is Amari Burney. Super athletic, sub 4.5 guy at linebacker that can cover and play in the box in the run game. He can move all over the defense and is an excellent complement to David Reese. Burney is a difference maker at linebacker that I don’t think Auburn has.

DB- Florida. Arguably the best cornerback duo in America will finally be healthy and on the field at the same time again. Safety play has improved mightily throughout the season with brad Stewart and Shawn Davis both emerging. Auburn’s secondary has shown some leakage, but mostly in garbage time. Edge to the Gators.

Special Teams- both teams ought to be well coached, I can’t speak for auburn but Florida May have one of the top 3 kickers in school history and Tommy Townsend has been reliable. Steady but not explosive punt returner Freddie Swain and not sure what we have at kick return due to touchbacks.

All being said, I have the Gators at home 28-20

Even though Trask is a junior, Bo Nix has more college starting experience and has thrown more college passes. There is no experience like game experience. Give me a 5 star freshman who has 5 games under his belt over a junior who is just now coming off the bench since his freshman year in HS.

I mean, Feleipe Franks played in 27 games and Trask broke his career passing record for an individual record in one game.

Then Trask went on to break a school record for most consecutive completions, set by Chris Leak.

He's done this with a nonexistent run game.

He's started two games in his entire Florida career.

That's a very impressive record he set vs Towson, but if Trask is so great then why wasn't he already starting over Franks?

Nix can run. His legs add another weapon. Meanwhile, Trask’s a pocket passer with no run game. And when hit, he fumbles. Tiger DL fixin to eat. Gonna b fugly.

Happy Homecoming

It was set between the Tennessee and Towson game. He sat an entire quarter against Tennessee.

Mullen wanted a run threat at QB + a leader. Trask isn't a leader.

He is easily the most accurate QB we've had this decade, though. He's only hitting 77.3% of his passes.

FPI says Florida is better on ST - by a good bit.

Not to throw the thread off-topic or anything but, Alabama is heads and shoulders above Ball State, Temple, and Buffalo on special teams.

These guys may well be as versatile and better than Burney. You know your teams roster better than I do. The things Burney does for our defense that makes him so valuable is his ability to cover at the linebacker spot, he’s a good matchup for slot guys because of his speed and for bigger tight ends because of his size. And he also has flashed instinct in pass rush, with a couple sacks this year and a few TFL’s. His versatility and skill set is something I wouldn’t want to trade with Auburn.

Name just a couple players on either team for ST and I’ll believe you did the proper analysis to label this a push.

That is not how this works. Its not how any of this works..

Also so far based on performance...I'd take Trask for one game over Nix.

We're going to find out what we have in Trask in this game. So far he looks to be operating on a high-level when it comes to reading the field. Let's see if Auburn can throw some exotic things at him to confuse him or if their D line just overwhelms our pass protection. Either of those scenarios are potentially disastrous for us, but at this time we don't fully know what we have in Trask.

Interesting stat from a poster on another site on Nix’s stats when under pressure

Under pressure, Nix is 8-for-35 for 117 yards with one touchdown and one interception, per Sports Info Solutions. Last Saturday, Nix, who went 16-for-21 passing for 335 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions, didn’t complete a pass in the five times Mississippi State pressured him.

Hoping the Gators can dial up some pressure on Nix tomorrow. Trick is stopping the run first which seems like will be a TOUGH task.

RB Florida- they are older and more talented

Auburn is 2nd in the SEC in Rushing Yards/Game and Florida is 11th. Why would Florida be rated higher in this category? If anything, running the football is their biggest weakness.
