Is this argument even still relevant? Can some Aubies post their salaries so we can compare? I don't know if it's the end of harvest season or whatever the hell it is the hell you farmers do but can we post month end gross?

I'll admit I had a slow January month with it being the first of the year and only cleared $55,000 with commission. We're all hoping it all picks up around April. How's the harvest for all the AU grads?

Do I add in my welfare because that would make it go up a lot.

Almost every statistic I've seen says Auburn grads make more than Bama grads

This is almost as relevant a metric as "women vs men" or "right handed people vs left handed people".

The only thing that matters is comparing people within specific industries to eachother.

It was said on an anonymous message board so it's gotta be true.

Alabama has a ton of communications, education and social work type graduates that do work somebody has to do and knowingly do it for less money.

So, that's going to drag down any overall salary number. I'm fine with that.

Again, if you want to know the true difference compare within industry.

If you have that statistic then fine. Until then, I can't take your word for it

Who the hell gives a shite? We all post on this forum, so I don't think anyone on here is some superior being. Honestly, what's the difference between making 100k and 50k? Either way you have to work for most your entire life. I expect to earn much more after college, but right now I'm making $9 an hour at part time job on campus and living in a shite hole of an apartment, and you know what? I'm pretty damn happy most of the time.

Engineering can be tedious.

But, you would be selling yourself short for less than $85,000 a year.

I've made high 90k in the past. But the oil and gas industry busted recently. I'm in geotechnical on the transportation industry side now. More like 80k now.

That's where I'm at right now. But starting over after a high trajectory in oil and gas in my 20s.
