Jake Holland is first string. List is shite.
He's finally healthy though. There's no telling what he can accomplish when he's 100%.

Difficult for me to believe we are more talented than Carolina and aTm.

Just by this one metric. It is obviously not the end all be all and certainly has flaws. Just interesting to see the numbers.

Auburn buddy showed me this list earlier today. My response was the same, "you have Jake Holland starting". His response "he's going to have a good year,
He's shown flashes"

Can't make this shite up.

You're dickriding a coach that has never been in the league and a DC in his second year and a staff as a whole hasn't ever coached in the SEC.

1. A lot of this is bullshite. Several guys on the staff have SEC experience.

2. This doesn't matter near as much as you think it does. Good coaches are good coaches anywhere. Bobby Petrino came from the fricking Big East.

You completely missed the point.

Brian Kelly is a shitty coach because he has never coached in the SEC.

We should be a lot better this year. I'm not sure if we upset many or any of A&M, LSU, UGA, Bama, but I expect us to be competitive this year.

Personally, I think we compete for the West in 2014. We will likely have more experience in terms of games started than any team in the SEC and quality qb. Maybe more importantly, we should be very good on the offensive and defensive lines with all the people that will start this year and return in 2014.

Honestly, the article addresses this and the relevant portion is quoted in the OP. You aren't poking any holes or making any shocking revelations with your supposed gotcha question.

the article addresses it by saying "some guys' actual play doesn't correlate with their recruiting rankings" then dismisses that same statement by saying in aggregate the rankings are good.

it's not a supposed gotcha question, it's a major flaw in the way he decided to rank 'talent'.

the ranking shows which schools keep the players who had the most Rivals stars as high schoolers in their 2-deep. that's all.

Quite a few of those players from those high ranked recruiting classes are gone.

Auburn isn't even the third best team in the SEC West.

Who wants to bet that BA has a better rating than Marshall when the season is over? I know I do

Says who? 247 and Rivals? Good thing our talent is more developed than yours

I feel confident in saying Arkansas is going to be much better than Auburn in the near future

Our talent is more developed than yours. Who gives a frick where they were out of high school. Your players didn't progress as they should have and it's going to show this year

Good thing we hired a complete staff this time

Under Petrino beside the OC (who didn't even call the plays) there weren't any really good position coaches. Other areas of the team suffered because of it. Now there aren't any obvious weak links, which shows Bielema knows what he's doing. We're going to field a more complete team than Petrino ever did

Gus has been head coach for one whole year at a Sun Belt school and you want to compare him to Bielema? They're not even in the same league.

Oh shite Bielema doesn't know what he's getting in to? Damn you should've told him before he came! You obviously know way more about the SEC and what it takes to win here, right? I mean being a fan of the conference means you know more about than being an actual fricking coach rig

Hmmm...

So, like the USCw of the SEC. Full of talent and not much to show for.

Congratulations?

This is my favorite bc if you go to the Arky board, they're all blaming their lack of success on how weak of talent they have and how many young guys they have to start
