It was 24-7 at the half and Auburn had managed only one first down in those first 30 minutes. Their lone touchdown was courtesy of an A.J. McCarron strip sack in the end zone. They finished with just 140 yards of total offense that afternoon.

The ran back the opening kick off of the 2nd half to make it 24-14. It was 27-14 going to the 4th qtr. And that was a great Alabama team and a really, really bad Auburn team.

Even the 2011 game was close at halftime.

Must have been thinking of the 2015 game. In the Saban era, the 2011 game was only game lopsided in at JHS.

JHS is really only difficult for Alabama, which tells you a lot about the program and it’s fan base. If AU treated every game like Bama or even at least most games where would the program be historically?

The Voodoo aspect is mostly directed at the iron bowl.

It’s a remnant of the 80-90s where the UGA game was different. It’s about all the crazy LSU games. There’s a reason game day has been there a bunch.

But yeah, now we suck donkey arse but give us time! We will suck slightly less.

They simply stole the Ole Miss and Arkansas games I think in 2020 because of dirty refs.

AU fans don’t have to complain about meaningless games from four years ago because we’ve actually won meaningful football games in recent memory.

Games that people will frequently cite like UGA and AL in 2017...people gloss over the fact that AU ended up ranked #2 in america after that.

Same for Kick 6. People act like it was some trash AU team that were massive dogs. AU and Bama were both in the top 5 when that game happened. It was the first time since 1971 that had been the case.

Auburn will be fine. Hardin was a bad fit in the SEC.

And I thought the Shula years were bad for us Bammers

They were worse.

Was Harsin the problem? Maybe the problem is Auburn.

Harsin was just a symptom.

That really does say a lot about Auburn leadership's priorities.

I’ve said for 10 years that if Auburn would take care of business and not give one shite what Alabama was doing, they’d be a consistent top 10 team. Maybe Danny Hugh is the guy to get things back on course, he’s got a lot of work ahead of him.
