If they were going to screw around with the schedules to rotate through the whole conference rapidly (every 2-3 years every team would play every other team) then the roommate switch is the best proposal I've seen

But its not going to happen. People resist change implicitly.

Having Bama and UGA as permanents, Auburn would get fricked more than any other team

True I dont see his point, but I approve the move to the East after going to Florida and seeing how it is. I would love to play them more. Also, it would piss Georgia off

To be in a part of the conference with another team besides Florida that wins NC since 1980.

Who does UGA get?

If they (AU) want to give up the Bama game then they should go ahead. It makes sense geographically but it dosen't make sense from that perspective for AU. UA, under the current scheduling arrangement is NOT giving up the UT rivalry that has earmarked the SEC historically. The trip to the Smokies and the raw hate from the UT fans, the side run to the Gat. attractions. AU needs to think long and hard about that.

UT is on the verge of being an SEC power again so the third SAT in Oct is about to get HOT! Perhaps the SEC will come up with a new scheduling arrangement to fit in two every year rivalries.

Divisions should be abolished. (Which apparently is an option that has been discussed).

Divisions serve zero purpose. They hurt the fan experience by giving shitty matchups. Players may go their entire SEC careers without playing in The Swamp, Between the Hedges, Tiger Stadium etc.

Shitcan the divisions. Give every program 3 permanent rivals and rotate the rest home and home. Teams with two best conference records play for the title. We get more matchups between LSU and Georgia or Tennessee; UF vs Auburn or Bama, Bama vs Georgia, etc.

You have a logic problem with this argument.
Divisions dont give fans shitty matchups. Shitty teams give fans shitty matchups.

If the goal is to get rid of shitty matchups, then you have to get rid of shitty teams. There is no other way around it.

Why would you blame divisions for shitty teams and how in the hell does getting rid of divisions going to solve that problem?

You also get more matchups with LSU versus kentucky, Vamdy, and south Carolina.

You dont seem to understand that half of the conference is below average. And more of that is also more of the below average.

I'm not in love with divisions. I dont need UGA to play vandy, Kentucky, or mizzou every season. But dont say that it gets rid of those shitty games when it doesnt.

It makes sense geographically and it will help even out the divisions.

The West has Alabama,LSU,Auburn and a future powerhouse in Texas A&M.

Auburn has lost all 4 of their cross divisional games over the last 2 years. With Tennessee getting turned around the east is about to eclipse the west again. Last year the east beat the west h2h, and this year we broke even. That old narrative is worn out and outdated.

Bring 'em on.
