If I was an auburn season ticket holder, I’d be emailing the AD. That’s some bullshite.

ETA: that being said, if Auburn is willing to sell home games to the highest bidder, I’d happily pitch in to move the iron bowl to Tuscaloosa this year

Pretty certain Ags will buy your home game next year and we can play at Kyle Field again. Add that to your NIL coffers.

I'd be ok with a "neutral" game in Houston as well.

That buyout money isn't going to raise itself.

That's really true. But, unless and until fans stop coming and subscribing to ESPN, there's zero incentive for AD's to change that.

Auburn's road schedule looks pretty brutal in 2026

Atlanta is New York City compared to little old Auburn. It's no home field advantage
You'll have the home field advantage (you're playing Baylor), but it does screw the season ticket holders and the students. I wouldn't have thought $5 million would be enough to give up a home non-conference game against a P4 opponent that was already under contract. Maybe the NIL angle talked about in the press release was the motivating factor, although I find that hard to believe.

I would assume it would be $5M + share of ticket sales and stuff like that, but who knows. I'd love to see the real details because definitely doesn't seem like it would be worth foregoing the home game for what has beens hown so far.

Just chiming in to say LSU has had way to many neutral site openers. From 2010 to present LSU had neutral site openers except for 2012, 2015, 2019, 2020, and this year.

I love Auburn's schedule next year. Minus Arkansas, it is all original SEC teams, none of these Big 12 expansion teams.
