Or the passenger and the passenger only, who isn't driving, should operate the GPS.
Why was he not paying attention to the road and letting her handle the GPS?
Just don't get it.
Mistakes over something so stupid to the take the life of a very pretty young lady.
Just unfair.

Read that someone talking/texting on a cell phone while driving is 10x more "impaired" than a drunk driver. I took "impaired" to mean "less alert".

Drew is gonna need alot of support. If the story is accurate I can't imagine how horrible he is feeling right now. Hopefully both families can be strong through this.
Obviously different circumstances but this reminds me a lot of the Carson Tinker/Ashley Harrison situation with the April 27th tornado in Tuscaloosa. A stunning beautiful intelligent girlfriend of a football player dying suddenly while with her boyfriend. One ripped away from her boyfriends arms in a violent tornado with the boyfriend surviving and the other dies alongside her boyfriend in a car accident. Both boyfriends walk away injured but alive. Can't imagine being a parent and having to bury your beautiful young daughter or being the boyfriend who tragically loses the love of your life which happened in both cases.

We have all heard examples but my son's physician was texting, looked down for a sec, big truck in front of him was completely stopped, he plowed in to the back of it and died.

Horrible. Prayers for both families. This is the 2nd or 3rd SEC player in a severe or deadly accident this Holiday Season.

Seat belt
Do we know she wasn't wearing one and he was? I can assume this, but I'd wish we would know to once again give a good example of the importance of seat belts. Did the air bags deploy? Was this a four lane or two lane stretch of highway?
Sorry for so many questions, but I know most accidents are preventable, or at least can be minimized.
Condolences to all the families from our side of the state.
