intention is to have the most dominant lines in the SEC, similar to Pat Dye's ideology of we will be the most physical team on the field.

It is certainly the way to be a consistent winner in the SEC. It is extremely hard to find elite d-linemen though.

Strongly disagree on Coe. We won't get Ray Drew, and we're likely to lose out on Blakely as well.

My only beef with the Auburn fan base is that they don't understand recruiting.

That's because we aren't used to it. Or paying attention to it, for that matter.

I think its down to an Iowa/Auburn battle - I don't know if we take 2 big backs and we got one guy ahead of Coe that may commit soon...

No flame...but IF a certain assistant left for a HC job, I could see one more name coming off that list for sure.

so there are 6 players on my list that are questionable. Ray Drew is a minister and we have god on our side. Blakely will come to Auburn if Wilder goes to Florida. Gabe Wright is coming to Auburn. Greg Robinson is 50/50. Quan Bray has named us his leader. Not suprising for us to get at least 5 of the 6.

Nobody can afford me.

Rodney Coe is looking good. I like Andrew Buie/Abdullah/Nealy.

I think we have better than a 80% shot at landing Coe right now.

I certainly don't disagree with that. "God" and the "Auburn Family" have very close ties to recruiting on the plains.

Probably the single biggest advantage this coaching staff has over Tuberville's.

Chizik is taking these guys in the summer, which means he must think very highly of them.

In his last few classes, Tubs was taking guys in January that no one had heard of, or who had no shot at qualifying.

His last class he took some risks but there were reasons for that.

Tubs still recruited very well but as pointed out most of that talent never made it on campus or left early.

This class is shaping up to be very solid, I doubt it will be a top 5 class like last year but it will have solid talent and fill our needs very well and that's what recruiting is about. miami had this problem, they recruited all these stars and then found out crap we actually need to figure out what we need not just sign the stars.

I'd argue most fans have no clue about recruiting in any way shape or form.

Class is shaping up well. We should finish between 5-10 in the rankings. Think we are at 11 on Scout now with Rose yet to get his 4th star which will bump us into the top 10.

We should close strong and have another great class but having consistent top 5 classes is very difficult, idealy once you get your numbers back in order you want to take about 20-22 players per year at max.

Just curious what this is based on? Gut feeling or something real?

Coe doesnt talk much but last he said his top 3 were Iowa, Arkansas, and Auburn. We are likely to get Kody Walker on the 14th which might eliminate us from Coe, but who knows. I keep seeing Auburn fans on multiple sites saying Coe is headed to Auburn. Based on what?
